Galia jumps back a bit.

"Holy...!"

She composes herself and speaks to the man, a commanding undertone of anger in her voice, looking directly into his eyes.

"I have no idea who you are or how you did that, and you have no right to eavesdrop on our conversation. We already have a man working for us for pay--" Galia gestures toward Dereth--"in any case. If you value such notions as 'free will', you may wish to offer a bit more compensation for violating our privacy."

If he so much as glances at any weapons he's carrying, let alone draws them, cast Hypnotism on him.

The man, maybe about three feet tall, plasters a charming grin on his face.
"I'm just someone advertising some of his most valued skills. In any case, a jailbreak is a risky venture and you can't have enough people; I assume you have at least three people who can get by guards unnoticed? But..."
He shrugs, and starts playing with an earing on his ear.
"I guess you've got a full team, fully up to the task. Otherwise, you wouldn't be trying to break out a spellcaster; I assume it's a spellcaster, I heard something about the undead. I'd be perfectly happy turning you in, instead, and collecting a reward for that."

[Tawa]

Galia continues staring into the fellow's eyes.

"You might be interested to know that, with the position you're in, moving even as much as an inch with the intent of arresting us will almost certainly end up with your mind, shall we say, as mine, rather than yours. It is very much in your best interests to remain perfectly still, lest I... misinterpret your movements."

Galia smiles a bit smugly. This fellow was precisely where she wanted him.

Raii stops playing with his earring, freezing.
"Ah. I don't like the sound of that."
His gaze wanders, but he doesn't move his head.
"Fine. I gave up my advantage to speak to you anyways. How about a non monetary deal, then? I help you with this jailbreak, and you tell me how you came across wealth like what you have."

[Tawa]

Galia keeps her eyes trained upon the man's pupils, not looking away for even a second.

"You made a good decision. Before I share any information with you, though, I want to know your name, age, specialties, and how you apparently can turn into a cat at will. Can't be striking a deal with just anyone, can we?"

"No, I suppose it is better to know the names of those you deal with, miss. Means you can track them down later if they don't follow through. I'm Raii Rubbleface, previously by the name Raii Spymaster and Raii Deathsbreath before that, which pretty much tells you that I sneak and can kill with a breath. As for turning into a cat, why it's the other way around; I turn into a man, as a distinct advantage of my heritage. I don't see how age factors into it.

"Your turn. What do you call yourself?"

[Tawa]

"Thank you for the information. You may call me Galia."

Galia pauses for a moment, still gazing into Raii's eyes.

"I suppose you deserve to know my profession, as well. I am a specialist sorcerer. Specifically, I have always found the greatest degree of power in enchantments... such as this one. Relaaaaax..."

Hypnotize Raii.

You idly wonder what it would be like to be hypnotized. Then you lazily think about how pretty this young woman's eyes are. Very pretty. They remind you of... Something you should be afraid of? No... They're too relaxing to be a bad thing. Right?

[Tawa]

"Ahehe... good... Raii, you will never seek or attempt to harm or kill me, directly or indirectly.

"Not a problem. That's kind of fascinating. Your eyes are... Uh... do we have a deal?"
Raii relaxes visibly, and starts playing with his earring again.

[Tawa]

"Oh, sure. You swear to help us with the jailbreak, and I'll give you the secret to how we made our gold."

[flabort]

"A deal is a deal. And a deal that follows through is the basis for more deals."
Raii offers his hand to shake. He continues to bat at his ear with his other hand.

[Tawa]

"Sounds good."

Galia shakes Raii's hand.

[Nerjin]

Zoe, who had watched all of this with very little expression, finally spoke up "You're kidding right? I know you like weaving your webs but Bill wants to go North as soon as possible. Can we please hurry this up?"

[My Name is Immaterial]

Bill, catching the jist of what Zoe said, beams. She was growing up right. A frown flashes across his face; he couldn't remember which vestige Zoe Bound earlier. He takes a moment to wrack his brain for the information, before turning back to Ganron.
"Well? Go on."
