"Whatever pushed me into the water. I felt something shove me before I fell in..." Ganron paused for several moments as he coughed "Or maybe it pulled me... I don't know."

"Wondrous. Now we must contend with something that wishes to face us in the water? Someone pull this craft near the shore; if we must exit it quickly, I would have us be able to do so safely."

He takes up his rapier and begins to concentrate, it seems, closing his eyes briefly in preparation.

With the vigor of a man half his age Arsolf pilots the craft to the edge of the river "Everyone off. I'll not have my son on this raft one more minute. Come on son." So saying he gently takes his son off the raft and forces him to sit forty feet from the river. "You folks can have the raft if you want it. I'll not have a part of this damned river."

Bill is scanning the water for any threats.

"If this river contains beasts that drag hapless passerby into the water, I'm not taking it either."

Galia hops off the raft and moves a distance from the river as well.

"Don't tell me you're afraid, Liaga. We'll slay the thing and be done. Likely just a lizard-man or sahuagin; no real threat to us now that we're aware of it's presence."

He stands near Bill, hand gripping his weapon tightly as he struggled to make out any sort of presence in the water, or any hint of noise that might pinpoint it's location.

Bill: You see nothing in the water but fish. They appear to be calmly swimming with the current.

"There might be more, though. I don't want to chance it."

Galia then covertly casts Message and whispers in Dereth's ear from afar:

"I don't want to abandon this kid, I already started working on him and don't like to waste spells."

Bill sticks his head underwater, to look under the raft.

Bill: You see more fish. Also the shoreline.

Calling upon the powers of Andromalius, Bill uses See Invisibility (CL 4) and keeps searching.

Ilandrinal hops off of the raft, turning around to look at Bill.

"Water's not our best environment anyway."

"If you all are getting off, I'll ride it father, and see if I can't find the threat."
