"I don't think it would kill us to stay in town another day and keep looking."

"If we do, it is quite likely we will have to fight. Alas, my cruel captors have tracked me here, as mentioned earlier."

"How many do you think there are? If there's not a lot, I could... help. Turn the tables entirely, even. For a price."

"It may not kill us, but even so there is strength in numbers, as the de Monterfort family certainly understands. They usually travel in groups, at least as large as this one. Perhaps heading out in slightly larger groups than today for tommorow and planning to leave the next day is in order?"

[Tawa]

"Sounds as good a plan as any. That'd make two groups of four each, then?"

[TealNinja]

Ilandrial clears his throat.

"I believe I have a promising lead.  An entity has offered me information on at least one of whom we seek."

[Tawa]

"And which one whom we seek is it, exactly?"

[TealNinja]

"As proven by how this information was attained, the walls have ears.  You spoke of pursuers; I'd rather not run the risk of... fellows finding out what we're after.  As for where...  Unfortunately, I'm going to have to side with that crazy you already spoke with; Forecrest should be our goal.

[Tawa]

Galia breaks the awkward silence that has gone on for far too long.

"...Forecrest again. I guess I'm fine with that, considering that all our evidence points there."

"I will begin packing our belongings."

That had usually been his job, when they were working on something that they couldn't trust to subordinates. He didn't mind.

[GiglameshDespair]

"I see. Splendid, splendid!" The Lady clapped her hands in glee. "I do so enjoy travelling to new locales."

In the morning you begin to set out for Forecrest in search of your first target. Unfortunately your way is blocked by a man in plate mail as well as six others in banded mail. Each appears to be nearly 8' tall and carries some form of sword and shield.

"Excuse me." He begins politely though the blade he carries loosely at his side seems to indicate he doesn't much believe in this tactic "I am Sir Horace of the de Monterfort Estate and am questing on behalf of my lord to retrieve Lady de Monterfort. I am aware that she might have spun some tale to gain your sympathies but she is currently desired by my lord and lady. I would appreciate it greatly if you would hand her over without any trouble. I simply wish to fulfill my quest so that I may see my family again. I have no quarrel with the lot of you and would prefer we handle this delicately."

"I will not stop you. She is not in the process of fulfilling her contract with us, and so is, as far as I am concerned, out of my protection."

The Lady sighed. "Yes, my family. Horace, please hold on a second, dear."
She turned to the dead man, and her tone became disapproving.
"As for you... it was a contract both ways. I help you... and you help me. Abandoning me now is tantamount to breaking our agreement. Wee JAs would be disappointed, don't you think?"
