"Fine." Ganron says obviously quite annoyed "I have to find father anyways. I'll meet with you at the inn in an hour."

Oh no. Strengthening the bond was necessary.

She might as well head back to the inn for now, perfect her strategy and all.

"Thanks, Ganron. See you around!"

Galia returns to her room at the inn.

"Give me a moment, please. Zoe, can you come with me?"
Inside the catacombs, he bends down in the dirt and dust, drawing the seal of Focalor.
"It has become apparent to me that your skills in the field of Necromancy are lacking. This is nothing to be ashamed of. There are other ways to power than through magic. I was made famous for my necromancy, but that is only half of what made me powerful. The other half came from beings outside of our multiverse, called Vestiges. They are a diverse bunch, exiled from the multiverse for many reasons. I am preparing to summon Focalor, the Prince of Tears. You will not speak while the Vestige is present. Hold your questions for later. After we leave the catacombs, I will answer your questions. Now, watch closely. Focalor, the Prince of Tears, I call you this mortal coil!"
After the binding takes place, Bill returns to the surface, Zoe in town. He speaks to the team assembled.
"Yesterday, I was able to scout out the catacombs, down the final level. Level one through three are empty, except for one skeleton. It will allow us past, for some reason. Bare it no mind. Level four is full of zombies. On level five, ghouls have setup an ambush. Level six is empty, but some ghouls may have wandered down from level five. Level seven contains some Wights and Ghasts. On Level Eight, two skeletons are guarding a door. I have not passed through it, so anything might be behind it. I suspect that the source of the undead is behind the door.

"I want to make this perfectly clear: we will not be attempting to clear out the catacombs today. This is a surgical strike. We get in, we take out the source of the undead, and we get out. We will deal with the rest of the infestation later. Here's the plan: I will cast Hide from Undead on all of us, which will last for 50 minutes. We will have to refresh it periodically. You WILL NOT touch, attack or cast a spell at any of the undead, or that will leave us all visible to the hordes. Now, I may not be able to see or hear you, so do not touch me, talk to me or interact with me unless I say otherwise. Stay close and don't get separated. When we get to the end of each level, throw a rock against the wall if everyone made it through. I expect you all to follow my instructions to the letter until we get to door.

"Any questions?"

After a flawless summoning Bill returns to the surface and makes his speach.

"Just one. Why won't we be able to see you?"

"No, no. You can see me, but I may not be able to see you. It's how the spell is designed. An unfortunate side-effect."

"Hm... I didn't know that. So we have roughly fifty minutes or so to get inside and then get out? How many times can you cast the spell?"

"Enough. We'll be in and out before he needs to cast it a second time I would wager."

"You'd lose, Zoe. It took me over an hour to reach the bottom. From there, we will have pass through the door without alerting the guards or any of the undead in the upper levels. Then we have to handle whatever we find behind that door. If it's undead, then I will have to cast it again, but we will have time to maneuver into position.
"I can cast it six times. I don't believe I caught your name, son."

"Oh..." Zoe mumbles to herself as she absent-mindedly checks her weapon.

"Six times hm? For each of us? Otherwise..." the guard does a quick count of the group of Bill, himself, Harmony, and Zoe "I don't like those odds. Still, the captain know best. As for my name I am Plius of the City Guard."

"Yes. Let's go."
Descend. At the end of the second floor, gather everyone in a circle, holding hands, and cast Hide From Undead.

"So... Are we hidden from the undead? I don't know much about magic." Plius asked.

Obviously, the answer was 'yes'.

"Hm. Don't bleed out too badly."

Dereth didn't bother to take the time to kill him, not least because it would attract undue attention that this display would hopefully avoid some of, at the least. The man would likely die on his own, a just reward for his arrogance. And if he did not, then so be it as well. It would be right punishment in any case.

Instead, he decided to try and find and meet up with the others, and see what their assessments of the situation were.

At noon, while in disguise, Ilandrinal goes around town, acquiring cheap garments (valued at less than 1gp each), then change into a new disguise (d20+4), verify the quality of the disguise, and then sneak into the Floating Dwarf (Hide: +13, Move Silently: +13), preferably through an upper window, while checking every round for anyone perceiving or could perceive him.  Search for hidden passages and documents (while Spotting (+7)/Listening (+7) every round), leaving after an hour.
