Honestly I kind of prefer the Job system of The Sims 3 over this.

SURE The Sims 3 often made you feel like you didn't deserve the promotion (way too often)... but The Sims 4 makes me feel like I am just doing busy work for every single job.

As well because you could carefully monitor your performance you could get more out of the extra activities you could do at work. "Talk to your co-workers" actually meaning something.

Plus the rewards for those jobs rarely give you something too unique. Which was WAAAAY too often true in The Sims 3, but they made an attempt to make each job feel unique as the final level of each job had some ulterior reward.

I feel like I'm the only person in the world who mostly enjoyed S3 for being a game that I could do things in.

And despite having marginal levels of hype for this one, I absolutely lack the sense of wounded betrayal.

I'll still probably buy it, but my standards will be set to the floor thanks to a healthy dose of foresight, plus a bit of knowledge on how the big players in the game industry regard the people on whom they depend.

I liked The Sims 3.

My opinion of The Sims 3 was that it was overall worse than The Sims 2 but the things it brought to the table made playing The Sims 2 at that point pretty much impossible.

I abused the HECK out of Create a Style, I used the open world to my advantage (as I always said to people who bad mouth rabbit holes... Did you EVER send Sims to a restaurant just to eat in The sims 1 or 2? NO!... Rabbit Hole interaction made using buildings for uncomplex actions viable)

If The Sims 3 didn't glitch out on my and eventually broke completely and became unplayable... I'd probably still play it.

In fact if The Sims 3 worked perfectly... I probably would be a lot harsher on The Sims 4 which so far its LARGEST MARKS are "Its not The Sims 3".

Also apparently if The Sims 4 fails, because its EAs own dang fault that Maxis couldn't breathe life into this Frankenstein facebook multiplayer game by making it single player, they say they won't be making another.

I have a question.

Is it better to post something in a topic which is partially related to the post?

Or is it better to post in a topic which is fully related to the post but hasn't been posted in for 3+ years?

...

I'm asking here.

How long does it take for shops to restock in Sims 3? Specifically, the Bot emporium in "Into the future" expansion pack.

... google?

"Plumbot stands in the bot emporiums will automatically restock new Plumbots once per day, so if Sims do not have the funds to purchase a Plumbot the player wants at the time, they must earn enough Simoleons to purchase it before the restock period." from here

Since this thread is already bumped, I may as well say the first "pack" is out.
It's called a "game pack" and is $20, and is somewhere between an expansion pack and stuff pack from the Sims 3.

Namely, it adds:
A new "town" to visit
Camping
Miscellaneous camping/cabin/etc stuff

This is a welcome departure from stuff packs (much more actual content for same price), but I can only hope game packs are replacing stuff packs.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

I'm not talking about the Plumbots I'm talking about the chips and nanites the shop sells.

It looks like they're taking more cues from the neighborhoods that they sold through the online store in 3, many of which came with a single gameplay feature or item (baking, dragons, roller coasters, that sort of thing).  That's definitely a far sight better than the stuff packs, but I'll probably buy as many of them as I did neighborhoods - that is, zero.  That might change, though; I didn't expect I'd buy the base game this soon after release, either, but that 50% off deal and...

Oh, sorry. In that case I can't find anything either, sorry. I would've thought it was every day or two, but it's been a while since I've played 3.

There were comments earlier about not being able to disable zombies in the Sim 3, supernatural.  You can set the lunar phase to something other than full moon and lock it there.  Zombies only come out on the full moon unless created by a sim.  That might help you enjoy the expansion if you like some other the other things in the expansion but hated the weekly zombie invasion

NRaas fixed that. You can also turn cheats on and force zombies to leave. Back to Sims 4 discussion.

So EA has already started the heavy milking of The Sims 4 and is now doing sort of micro-expansions (of rip-offish levels)

It's a Sims game. By EA. It started before they even released it to the public.
