not yet implemented, we get to that once i get finished...setting the thing up at the beginning is quite a task...far more work than i expected...afterwards though it should seed up.

Is oil an important export for transversal? or is it something that's used to fuel the countires fuel needs?

Oil is not really an important export for Transvaal, at least not yet. Oil has only recently been found and so far its used to support the Countries own Needs. However it still gives lots of money and some Industrial Capacity.

Salsacookiesi need your starting location on the map.

ebbor you have no starting location as a Democratic Uprising you can crop up wherever you want, whenever you want. The only thing you need to keep in mind is your popular support. If it drops to zero you lost.

3man75 as a Terrorist you begin pretty much invisible, similiar to ebbor you can strike initially wherever you want. However to deploy vehicular support you need to conquer one province and establish a permanent base in there to stash all your stuff. Otherwise infantry weapons can be secreted away in hidden caches.

((Hey, people who start the game with troops: you may or may not be able to take the Boksburg Military base before Taric can garrison it, which will give you a LOT of equipment.

Also, dude, Ghaz, I think you made the Transvaal army a bit too terrifyingly powerful.))

EDIT: Besides, at this stage, not really much justification for sending in commandos against a few, minor groups.

You probably could, since commandoes (they're little deer, the best of their kind.) have a collateral damage thing of, what, 1?

Problem is that they're hilariously expensive to upkeep. I'm not throwing that sort of thing around lightly.
