Alright.

Though that makes me slightly curious/worried as to how he has +9 to hit before Fighting Challenge...masterwork sword?

It's supposed to be +8... My bad on that. Also: Damn dude... You got him pretty well.

Jeezus crap.

All good. In other news:

Well then. Sorry Paul. Although I think you missed Battle Ardor for the second crit confirm roll. Because of Flashing Sun it would have missed anyway, though.

Also, since my post isn't exactly coherent; basically, if my unarmed attack ends the duel, I don't want to follow it up and risk killing Paul, and since the way Wolf Fang Strike is worded sorta allows this, I'm hoping to not be a dick. Or at least as much of one. Dereth enjoys dueling(in case it wasn't clear considering he's basically dedicated his life to the art of the blade), and this was definitely a good duel. He thinks Paul is a pretty cool dude.

Prereqs: 15 Dex, Dodge, Mobility, and one of Agile, Acrobatic, Athletic, or Alertness.
Effect: Once per round if your movement takes an opponent out of your threatened range, and they do not make an attack of opportunity against you or missed with their attack, you may make an attack of opportunity at a -4 penalty and half damage.
Normal: You may not make an attack of opportunity during your own turn.
Special: You may only make one attack of opportunity during your own turn. A fighter may take this as one of his bonus feats.

Half damage is a bit too much of a penalty, I feel. Also, it should be allowed if they made an AoO, but not if they hit with it, I think. And the third feat requirement is a bit strange; I'd say Spring Attack, instead.

Actually, in all honesty, I think the best way a feat like that would work is a Hit And Run style of feat, designed for really mobile fighters, rather than just slow backpedaling.

I dunno. It's a very new and I feel would be controversial idea if it was more people than just us.

Considering that, due to the specific wording of the ability, a 5-foot step qualifies...  It's an extra attack every second round if the opponent is using Reach weapons, and an extra attack every round if they're using Melee, as well as working quite strongly with the Attack of Opportunity extra attack feats (if you were to make an attack of opportunity, you can make 2/3/4, each at -5 penalty to the previous attack; number of attacks cannot exceed your maximum AoO), and inherently working with Spring Attack (and Dervish Dance) to provide more bonus attacks to things that are already all about bonus attacks...  Half damage is not too much of a penalty.  At least, not compared to existing Mundane Combat feats.

I'm talking about on it's own, since it specifically says that it's only once per round in your turn. And that's why I was saying it needed to not work with some maneuvers; like Withdraw, for instance.

I've decided to implement "Sorry you couldn't play in my game for about a week or so" experience for anyone not taking part in a duel. Basically you gain 1/2 the xp as the person in the duel. Good plan? Bad plan? Great plan? Best plan? Eh plan? Anyways...

ZOE LEVELS UP!!! [Lvl 2 > Lvl 3]

She's going to level up in that thing you're trying to train her in Immaterial so... What was it again? I can't seem to find it because I fail...

GANRON LEVELS UP!!! [Commoner > NPC > PC 1 > PC 2 > PC 3] [Commoner > Warrior > Fighter 1 > Fighter 2 > Fighter 3]

NPC > PC class bonus: Retraining of feats! Toughness and Athletic removed.

HP: 10+2, 2+2, 8+2 (8 > 26)

Feats Gained: (1st) Weapon Focus Longsword (Human) Athletic (1st Fighter Bonus) Power Attack (2nd Fighter Bonus) Cleave

Skill Points Gained: ((4+0)x4)+(4+0)+(4+0) 8+5+5 (28 Skill points). +4 Swim, +4 Climb, +4 Craft (Woodwork), +4 Handle Animal, +4 Ride, +2 Survival, +1 Intimidate

STATIA LEVELS UP!!! [NPC > PC 1 > PC 2] [Adept > Cleric 1 > Cleric 2]

NPC > PC Class Bonus: Retraining of feats! Toughness and Scribe Scroll removed.

HP: 8+2, 6+2 (11 > 18)

Feats Gained: (1st) Impoved Initiative, (Human) Scribe Scroll

Class Features Gained: Turn Undead, Spontaneous Cure Spells, Magic Domain, Knowledge Domain

Skill Points: 40 Skill Points... +5 Knowledge (Arcana, Religion, Dungeoneering, Geography, History, and Nature), +5 Concentration, +5 Heal

Bonus: +2 to Turning Checks.

Wait what he's a fighter?

Well bloody hell that sucks. I was hoping Warblade or Crusader or even Knight. Something tanky and effective with the given party level.

And he took skill bonus feats...oh god...

You trained him for 1 day. it's the same reason Zoe took a level in Fighter instead of [thing]. You can influence them but it takes time. In all likelihood he'll be taking more appropriate feats and stuff as you train him better.

...Will I be able to retrain his class levels/feats as I shape his development?

Also, wasn't complaining that it didn't go how I wanted, and Fighter still works, it's not actually bad for an NPC follower we've got basically for free, I was just saying that's what I had hoped for.

Hell, maybe he'll even be able to take a prestige class.

Retrain? No. Ganron will always have 3 levels in fighter as Zoe will always have 2. You can shape their developement during training. Basically if you say "Train them towards Knight" they will do that. Hence why Zoe is going up in [...]. It also has to do with how long you've trained them for and stuff...

[thing] = Binder.
I suggest Improved Binding for a feat.

Boo.

Can I get a look at Ganron's sheet or at least info as to the order his Ability Scores progress in, highest to lowest?
