For approximately the past twenty years, the highest levels of our government have been aware of alien activity in and around our solar system. No attempts were made either to contact or land on Earth, nor did our government make any to contact them. As of 22:00 Zulu yesterday, this is no longer the case. A garbled transmission was intercepted at 17:00, and at 21:00 a bright light was sighted in the skies of southern of Wisconsin. An impact occurred at 22:00, flattening trees for three klicks in every direction around the crash site. The Pentagon believes that the transmission was directed outwards, towards a potentially hostile alien entity. That is, however, guesswork. We are blind here, gentlemen, and that is unacceptable. This is where you come in. To the end of investigating the crash, and heading up any potential response, the President has activated Project Blackbox. Your mission is to get to the crash site and attempt to contact survivors, if any.
