Alright, well the title of the thread abbreviates to "TWDW", or if you remove anything in front of colons, "WDW". The HTML color code for red is "ff0000", while green is "00ff00". There is a clear similarity between the pattern of "WDW" and "00ff00". Therefore, we should choose green.

Cut the green wire.

((Standard bomb disarming tactics in the military if you lack a technical blueprint is to literally tear all wires out at the same time. It stops the bomb from detonating. However it is still a live explosive and must be moved to a safe place and not bumped too hard.))

Tear them both out at once.

"I don't have time to argue this, voice in my head, but here.

Imagine you've got a bomb, with a timer. Now, you could do the normal thing, and make the timer detonate the bomb. Or, you could be smart, and make the timer keep the bomb from exploding. Thus, if the timer is removed, or stopped, the bomb explodes, along with if it just reaches 0. Just like that, you can build a bomb so if the circuit is opened, the bomb detonates. Now then, I could move the bomb, if I hadn't just been shot. Honestly, cutting a wire is our best shot, and if we cut both, one of them is probably going to blow us all up."

((NSA IS WATCHING YOU))
Apparently this is not a standard military operation.

You cut the green wire. Immediately, the beeping stops.

"Thank go-"

You suddenly realize, halfway through the word, that the light is still on, and still flashing. Right as you notice this, the light turns white. You hit the floor, and your vision goes dark.

After what seems like an eternity, your vision returns, although not quite as it was before. Rather, it's split in two. Through your left eye, you can see the room you were in, just after the explosion. Alarms are blaring all over the plant, and the reactors have clearly taken major damage. Through your right eye, you see a similar scene, although the alarms have long since stopped. Eventually, your vision focuses in on the right image.

"What the hell was that?"

You don't have much more time to ponder what just happened, since your consciousness is quickly fading again. Just as your eyes are almost shut, you here something from the ramp room where you entered from.

"Los los los!"

You hear the sounds of boots hitting the ground, and the boots soon enter the room. You hear someone vault through a window, and boots hitting the ground in the control room from before. Then, a voice comes from the room.

"Tot."

A voice also comes from where your friend fell.

"Tot."

Then, one of the Germans stops, and starts running towards you.

"Lebendig!"

You faintly sense the Germans chattering, and, just before you fade out, you can feel someone or something picking you up.

You slowly wake up, in a nice, cozy bed. Well, not really. More like a cot in a medical bay. Still, it's a lot better then a hard floor in a nuclear plant. You look around the room, and find that...well, it's a medical bay. Looks spartan, full of cots and medical equipment. Eventually, you sit up a tiny bit, and notice someone standing in the corner of the room. You see a uniformed man, maybe 20 or so, standing in the corner, watching you.

"Hallo. You've been...out, for a while."

You sit up, and face the soldier.

"So it is, good sir. What did I miss?"

"The...end of the world...er, the end of Europe, at least.

When the bomb exploded, it spread...fallout...all over Europe. It's been cleaned up enough that you can go outside without protective gear, but the area around Ground Zero is still... gefährlich. During the crisis, many people turned to looting and raiding, and are causing havoc, killing people, destroying towns. We've been tasked with...getting rid of them. We're also supposed to provide aid to any survivors we find, but most of the survivors have either made it to safety, or are dead, I'd imagine.

We'd offer to send you back to England, but we don't really have the time or resources to do so. As it is, you'll be staying in this base with us. We've got a handful of Americans, a Frenchman, and a few Belgians, but no Englishmen until now. Any other questions? If not, your belongings are in Locker 3, in the room behind me."

"Ah. Unfortunate, but expected. A Frenchman without electricity may as well be an ancient Gaul. Bloody mainlanders. How far is 'all over Europe', exactly? Right up to the Urals, all around the Mediterranean and even to the tip of Norway?"

"According to the base CO, from the southern parts of England, to a little past the western border of Ukraine, down past the Alps, and to the north-east edge of Aquitaine.

Any other questions?"
