Take the knife.  Search the room for useful equipment.  Go onto the balcony and take in the view.  Can we tell where we are?

((Since we're wanted by the Empire, our best shot might be to follow the witch.))

Take the knife.  Search the room for useful equipment.  Go onto the balcony and take in the view.  Can we tell where we are?

((Since we're wanted by the Empire, our best shot might be to follow the witch.))

You gently slide off the bed and it appears she didn't notice...didn't this crazy want to kill you? Witches you swear must be having mood swings.

You walk briefly noting that you are now wearing a black robe now and not a white one. What's more you can feel your slightly stronger being able to move faster. That or your just being paranoid looking back at the desk and at her. You pick up the knife and open drawer revealing a black book and Metallic mask resembling a skull. You decide to open the book which turns out to be a log book and quite a new one you add.

Her name is Jade. AN her first entry is about her initiation into the "Chaotic Tower Alliance" and how she's being tasked by the "Great one" to find a champion to cause havoc in the Empire. Your guessing that's where you come in but..why you? Why not summon some kind of monster wolf? You put the book on the desk and look at the mask. It's not very heavy and you put it on for kicks noticing it's not very heavy. You can also see surprisingly well but when you turn around you can that the witch is beginning to move around in bed. Your also noticing a purple aura around her and hear crying coming from the bed. You take off the mask and put it back in the drawer along with her black book.

You move towards the balcony and see a garden with a hedge maze. It's like the yards you use patrol by at the houses of nobles only this one looks to be in complete ruin. Robed men walk around with podded plants growing from trees. You notice vines and..skeleton dogs? This can't be in the Empire. The slighest bit of corruption or suspicion would bring down the hammer. You've seen. You were part of that hammer. Auxilarry go in swords drawn, followed by Reserve soldiers, and the Inquisitions Overseers. They'd an entire residential distrct and rip through everything without warrants or morals. You remember standing by and watching a man being held down by some soldiers as a over seer slammed a hammer into his head causing it to erupt all over the ground. How could all this be missed? For all the green grass and water they have walking skeletons here! How have they hidden so well?

You decide there just isn't anything to do and theirs no way you can take on a witch after she surgically put a bone charm in you. For all you know she could be watching you. You wait for her to wake and she simply stares at you with no emotion. An you can't quite catch her mood either.

"Have you done anything grotesque while i was asleep boy?"

You can't quite keep it together as you laugh and deny the claim. She gets up and is wearing an you can see her in a night gown, she walks over to the desk and sits down. She opens the drawer and pulls out the mask. She motions for you to come over and as you do you feel as if her mood is going from nothing to insecure.

Play along.  Let's unbalance her emotionally, if we can.

Play along.  Let's unbalance her emotionally, if we can.

"Your going to make me put on a mask now? What is it the time where the dead come to the world of the living?" you ask sarcastically trying to make unearth this witch. Who knows what goodies she'll-

"SHUT UP!"

Your knees buckles and smash into the ground as you groin in pain. Kneeling in front of her she puts the mask. She's definitely losing her edge right now but..is it you?

She starts breathing heavily as she sees you in the mask and sits down.

"You read my book, you took my knife, you spoiled my gift to you, and you talk down to me.

You'll be harder to control than i thought but i WILL have you serve me. Your going outside of the Empire for your first mission it'll be a training mission but it'll also be real. I want you to kill the diplomat Yohan Shamrock from the Principality of Bay. He's going to be attending some Naval Demonstration there with a Imperial General and i want him dead and The General to take the fall for it all. Your handler will be Osmec, he'll be with you though everything but remember he is your master and angering him will shorten your lifespan...as well as if you were to fail. Make sure anyone that sees you is dead and that the General has absolutely no alibi. If we can do this the Principality of Bay will have to cut Ragnite Exports to the Imperials, hopefully choking the economy and begging misery. By the way that bone charm lets me see and feel EXACTLY what your doing so don't think of hiding or i'll make your heart. Stop. Understand?"

You nod and she points you to the door next to the bed. As you get back up you return to her the knife, walking out she cryptically hints about even witches needing love and appreciation. This is definitely not the lady you would choose to wake up too any day of the week or year or life. Ever.

Out the door you head down the only hallways viable and see a staircase going up. Taking them you find yourself in an attic and unlike the rest of this house it's moldy and unkept kinda like the back yard. You see an eissel and a man in a similar mask but instead of a Whiter skull like yours it's pitch black with yellow eye lids. He sits on a stool admiring a painting of the Witch dressed in a wedding gown. She looks younger and definetly happier in it and you wonder what could have changed her to be so allof and angry. As you approach, he man with the black skull mask gets up "Wilbert is it? My name is Osmec. Call me Master Oz for short but i give you no more leniency there. Are you ready for your first mission to bring chaos back into the world? Oh an your equipment" he snaps his fingers "is here." As he says so purple light erupts and you see a sword, a bag, and a cross bow. You also see your swords scabbard and some pouches with bolts sticking out.

"You have weapon making magic?" You ask confsuingly and looking at the equipment.

Master Oz laughs "Ha! That's what i should expect. No, this is glamour magic i practice it every now and again. If you live as long i do you'll find our mistress can provide some powerful knowledge on us. If you survive. Now get your stuff the portal is about to open."

You follow through putting everything on and shyly ask for some help with the crossbow and it's pouches which you hang on to your robes.

A door with the same design as the last appears on the wall behind Master Oz, The same Skull with a dagger striking downwards. Master Oz takes your hand and leads you through where you both appear in an alley next to a castle. He hushes you before you can say anything and crouches behind some barrels at the exit of the alley. There you See an Imperial General denoted by his many awards and a fat man with a top hat. The General seems menacing talking in a hushed voice while the fat man, who is smaller than the General seems fearful of him. You feel bad for him but that's just how the Imperial Army is with everyone, even itself. They depart onto and enter a Castle behind some guards that snap to a attentive state than relax while the diplomat and General walk inside.

"Okay boy, you saw the target. Now then you go over the gates and find yourself inside. That Guard tower seems empty you can use that to get a good luck of the area or i know that theres a lone guard in that barracks. Maybe you can ask him about a way inside hmm?"

What do you do?

Enter the barracks and subdue the lone guard.  Ask him about low-security entrances to the castle and where our mark is likely to be.  Take his guard uniform and put it on.

Very clever killing me before I can club you. I cannot support any actions that will result in my death either directly or indirectly. Also nice to see you're reusing the setting.

Fix.

That's right and i'm almost to my stated goal. thinking of perusing it further if possible though...being a witch's assassin is totally the future  of stealth games.

update in a bit guys.

You decide that the lone gaurd is your best option. Hopefully he won't put up any kind of resistance as you ask him about this castle.

You tip toe to the barracks opening and closing the door behind you quickly but quietly. You can see the guard his writing something very intently but simply doesn't notice you. There are two rows of beds on the left and the right. No windows in here so no can see the occupants. It's almost too perfect. You slowly unsheathe your sword as you walk up quietly on the guard. Just as your about on target ready to take him down, he senses you and turns around and is horrified at the image of a skull faced man with a sword coming at him. He's shocked but affirmative trowing a journal and pen at you which glances off your mask and you close in on in him. Despite his attempts to move away  his back touches the backdoor and your sword is at his throat. He is at your mercy.

"How do i get in to castle?" you ask quickly.

"Monsieur i don't know please leave. If any ruckus were to happen i would be in big trouble."

"TELL. ME. HOW. TO. GET. IN" You ask again not willing to wait around and have one of his buddies come in. Lord knows you can't just kill people, although actually you have just not in this setting.

The guard however remains silent his back to the wall and it looks like tears are in his eye lids. No matter how bad you are or the world is that is just too..much. When you ask again he gives you a key and tells you that it opens a emergency exit door where his post is in the East side of the castle. Just on the other side of the barracks in fact. You take the key and tell him to turn around but he drops to his knees and pleads for his life. This man is just-

*whack*

"AGGH" you scream. as the Guard punches you in your genitals section and makes a run for the door too panicked to yell for help. You ready your crossbow and have a shot just as he's about to leave the door, do you take it?

What do you do?

Oh, just subdue him with your hands. Break him, strangle him, whatever. Shooting him would render his uniform unusable, and our current outfit is just made of solid awful, unfortunately.

You are at the back of a room and he's at the front. You can't strangle him with your hands nor do you have magic powers...yet.

Run after him and do so is what I meant! Surely he can't be that fast or sure of his course.
