Alessa looked at the plan before pointing at one significant point.

"Going all east looks fine to me. We all seem alright with that so...I guess we can discuss the efficiency of it after the battle? Trial by fire."

Yilda shrugged, ready to follow behind the actual combatants.

Dismissing Yilde's complaints with a careless wave of his hand, Lucian glared at Titus before responding to the others.

"The east is too narrow. We would all be standing on each other's heads and unable to fight to our full potential. This is the way to go, straight on, not sneaking around like bandits ourselves."

[Tiruin]

"We may not be able to fight at full potential. They, however, won't. It's too cramped, and they lack any sort of reinforcement; we can take them one at a time, if they don't just rush towards the entrances."

Alessa looked at the map and pointed at the east side.

"I'll take east (Alessa deploy @F-21)along with Sariya at my side, if she's willing. We need you though, Shabi (Shabi deploy @H-21) the eastern area only has one weakpoint--the wall has its foundation broken down."

She looked at the rest--not in the eyes, of course, as her nervousness preceeded even that sort of respect, but at their weapons. A thrill of exhilaration and planning shone in her eyes as she looked back at the map and pointed southwards.

"The rest of you are very well versed in magic and swords--if you all would position along the south side (with those with swords and axes at the entry (U-8 > 11), we can get an easy foothold before they can form an adequate defense, flank forward with mages and we'll have secured the first chamber. Titus, Cedomir, Yilda and Dol, you four are what I'm thinking of being the first in, followed by everyone else and-"

It was then did she notice that one crucial point had been forgotten.

"-u-um...is everyone alright with the idea?"

[Parsely]

((I count three deployments plus one NPC. What the heck's goin' on here guys?))

:"Eeeeh, I still think that we need to stick together. Eeh... just guess I'll..."
Cedomir trails off as he begins to head to a position.

Alessa spoke in a whisper to Sariya, with a pure note of concern in her voice as she noted very different positions being taken. "Nobody else commented...is there something I did wrong?"

Tyria just shook her head and sighed.

"What a bunch of idiots..." she mumbled to herself as she took her posistion at 10,U.

The stratagem goes through many iterations, but is eventually met with a general approval. Good enough. Soothed by the balmy breeze, everyone is more than eager to bed upon the soft grass. Soon all, including the one elected for the first watch, are fast asleep.

Hours later, at daybreak, everyone is awoken by Dol and Shabi approaching the camp riding double. Shabi drops gracefully from the seat of Dol's beloved chestnut plains-horse and the black-haired rider reins his mount to face the young nobles. He's already clad in his black scabbard, the long, reddish-brown tassel streaming from his blue-bladed Bulrakian longsword. His only armor is the dark leather coat he always wears.

Dol's face normally casts a wise but unimposing air about him, but today it has an intimidating hardness to it. He gives the group an expectant look, most of them still rubbing the sleep from their eyes. Lucian and Sariya, the two most involved in the planning the night before, come forward simultaneously and together explain their ideas for the approach.

He's quiet for a moment. He looks up at the position of the sun.

: We're out of time. Take your positions according to what was discussed. It'll have to do.

Turn 1 Player Phase

Shouts of alarm ring out as the party nears the entrance to the ruins. Dol curses and draws his sword with a practiced motion.

: We are too many, it was inevitable that they'd see us.
