Lidia, for her part, tags closely behind Aira, applying a swirl of healing magic from her staff. Aira's wounds disappear in the way only magic can manage, and Nero follows soon behind.

A bandit with a wooden sword advances at Fredric and deals him a pair of sharp blows. Thanks to Fredric's meatiness, they're not enough to knock him out, but he's not exactly steady on his feet. Thankfully, Fredric HAD managed a strike with his hatchet.

The last of the lancers runs up to a vantage point besides his swordsman comrade, and tosses a javelin at the brave young axeman... and totally misses, the javelin splashing in the water! Fredric is significantly more accurate, striking the last lancer directly through the face with a return toss of his hatchet, fatally.
