Karola rolls her eyes at the flirting between Nero and Aira, but keeps her thoughts to herself. That's not the only thing she keeps to herself either, as she stays firmly behind everyone else. Not by much, but it feels like a lot more due to her hunched shoulders, heavily lidded eyes, and general body language that makes her seem unapproachable

Lorccan smirks and rolled his eyes amusedly as he lightly watches the not-so-light flirting.

"Hmmph, looks like we've got some lovebirds in our little group."

[Swordstar]

Aira rolled her eyes and just smirked at Fredric.

"Please. You're just jealous that your eyepatch and lack of shirt scare off all the girls you'd be interested in flirting with. No need to ruin our fun because you can't have any."

[Khaiel]

"Well, while it is true that it might not be very professional to flirt during work, this isn't hurting everybody, Fredric. Can't you turn a blind eye on it?"

It took Nero about a second to remember about Fredic's eyepatch even though he was looking at him and it had been mentioned. But even then, he would have probably had said the same anyway.

[Parsely]

Lidia's eyebrow shot up.

: You did not just say that to a man more than twice your size. Unbelievable.

[Swordstar]

"Hmmph. He wouldn't attack me. We're in the same group, it'd be foolish for him to attack me. Besides, I was obviously teasing."

[Parsely]

Lidia gave the mage a sidelong glance.

: I was talking to the garish young swordsman.

[Swordstar]

"Oh. Pff. Well, the part about us being in the same group still stands."

[Parsely]

Lidia gives her a pained look.

: Honestly, even though he has an axe, I don't think he's going to attack anyone over petty insults. He also does have an axe, so if he did have a mind to carve you.. Well.. "Being in the same group" would have about as much weight as the quivering gray mess of "brains" sitting in your boyfriend's head.

[Swordstar]

"Please. It's a bit of harmless flirting. And whatever."

She rolled her eyes and moved towards the front of the group, glancing back at Nero and giving him a bit of a smile.

[Parsely]

Lidia puts palm to face.

[Khaiel]

"First he would have to be able to hit me..." This was said in a low voice. Nero didn't want to create tension in the group, but he felt underestimated. Strenght wasn't everything.

"But Lidia is right about something. It wasn't a good idea to say that. Not for the reason Lidia said, but that isn't the point. Sorry if the comment was less than appropiate Fredric."

Nero didn't want an unfortunate comment to make one of his companions dislike him already. He knew what that could lead to, and he didn't liked it. And besides, if they were going to fight side by side, then it would be a bad idea to make Fredic angry at him.

After he said this he winked at Aira as his only answer to her smile, and proceeded to stretch a bit before talking to Lorccan.

"Boss, any sight of bandits? I believe we could all use the exercise to let off steam."

[Powder Miner]

Vincent sighs and looks at Nero, answering in the stead of Lorccan.
:"I'm sure we're not going to run into bandits here. Seems a rather pessimistic train of tho--"

A nasally voice can be heard in the distance, its owner not yet quite visible.
"I am the feared and renowned bandit leader Thore! Today you shall die, and make us rich men!"

:"--ought... damn it..."

:"Ha! Told you so. Alright, Lances, you know what to do. Form up folks, we've got some bandits to fight!"

Raggedly-dressed men with various weapons (and a few women, archers) begin to file onto the highway...
