She moves to the cabin, a decrepit old thing. With a gentle push, the rotted door comes off its frame. Inside, a myriad of cobwebs and insect homes cover the room. A skeleton covered with moth-bitten rags is resting on a bed frame. A rusted woodcutter's axe is on the floor.

Search harder. Maybe inspect the skeleton. Take the axe also, if possible. We shall inflict Tetanus on our enemies!

Jaine reaches down to grab the axe, and it appears to be in a slightly better condition than at first perceived. It still won't last long in combat or as a tool, but it will last for a few good swings.

A more in-depth search reveals a few rotted books under the bed, as well a bit of preserved meat in a cobweb-covered cabinet. Somehow it hasn't been eaten by the bugs. She leaves the books and takes the meat.

Any cloth on the skeleton turns to dust as you pass your hand through it. There is nothing salvageable.

Use the axe to cut a few meat cubes, and then go to the wolf and feed it the meat cubes. OM NOM!

Jaine chops up bits of the meat, and then goes outside to find the wolf.
Surprisingly, the wolf seems to have been sneaking up to the cabin and is slightly startled by her appearance, and Jaine by its.
It quickly recovers and growls at Jaine.

Jaine quickly throws a couple meat chunks at the wolf, who bites them out of the air.
The wolf seem much less hostile now, though it is still on its guard.

Also speak softly to it, or some other thing that is equivalent and that we can do.

Jaine tosses some more, and makes soft noises at the wolf.
Even though the noises wouldn't exactly count as "soft" to more civilized beings, her point gets across.
As the wolf finishes the meat cubes, its fur lies flat and it is now watching Jaine to see if she has any more meat.
