Like one of those post-apocalypse games where you have to roll for 100 different mutations at the start and you can die during character generation?
Subtle.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Maybe you guys should find a different terrible RPG to play.

Like one of those post-apocalypse games where you have to roll for 100 different mutations at the start and you can die during character generation?
I encourage you to run it, then. For now, I will run my FATAL.

deadEarth... that one I'll try, since the PDF won't give me dishonor of having to roll for how good I am at making clocks.

I just wanted an excuse to mention that.  No intention of actually playing any of these.  Just here to watch.

You misspelled seance.  Are possessing Draignean?  Are you actually a ghost in the shell? You have to tell us if you are, that's the rule

What's it a reference to?

deadEarth.

Several people in that thread roll up characters; they include a guy whose head exploded partway through character creation, a philosopher who can't move, two characters who can't let their bodies touch sunlight for completely different reasons that will both lead to their deaths, and a beautiful eunuch butler telepath who weighed almost 300 pounds, was over 6 feet tall, was significantly stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger, and randomly died before he was done.

The rules say that you're not allowed to make more than 3 characters, ever.

We also attempted a game on these forums, but it petered out when everyone lost interest after character creation.

Sounds like a blessing to me, given that it gives you a decent chance of never being able to play.
Also reminds me of the Nexus guy, where apparently a game should be tied to yourself for life rather than on a game-by-game basis.

To simplify stuff, some of the guys here that know how to program, could do some decent character generator for fatal, for the sake of simplifying stuff.
The original generator is not good enought.
Well, that sort of defeats the premise of the question that I'm posing: what if we play FATAL like it was meant to be played? Is it any good?
Others points of the generator is to quickly see how fatan characters are/can be.
Lastest version of this free rpg I was able to find http://ericphillips.info/media/FATAL.pdf
Yes, this is V2, the most recent one.
Actually there are more than 2 wips of the book, this is the lastest wip I was able to find (by looking at pdf creation date)

I always thought this game was probably terrible.

I don't think I yet understand how terrible it is.

I will watch to find out.
