Hix's stance remained steady for a few moments, but suddenly he clutched his head.

Letting the tome in his hand fall to his side, he carefully massaged his temples as he backed away a couple steps.

Varion decide that he should just let the captain talk so he wander off to look inside the castle for anything worth taking. Then maybe he should go see what the two weirdo duo is up to.

Choosing to ignore the armored mage for a moment, Saresh directed his steed toward Hix. "Wizard, what's the matter with you? Are you injured?"

Hix turned to face Saresh from underneath his hood, and in the shade a bright blue glow in the shape of an eye stared back.
: "Stay your breath, horseman. This one is not injured." A dissonant voice returned as Hix's mouth remained still. However, his attention shot directly back to the suit of armor as he reached to pick his tome back up, "You. Stormcaller or what have you. Explain yourself."

Saresh's mount whinnied and took a hurried step backwards- unusual for a horse. Saresh was also visibly disturbed. Maybe it's a wizard thing?

Kya hesitated but then stepped back up.

"Again? What do you mean again? What history do you have with the Order?"

[Solymr]

: It would help if you told me what to explain about myself... Your name, please?

"Oh? Ain't you knightly types supposed to fight the things like Tin Can over there?"

Hix shook his head.
: "Depends on who you're referring to. It is as the Commander said, explain your connection to the Order and why you are here. But more importantly-" The glowing eye underneath the hood narrowed, his off hand drifted to massage his temples again, "You do not seem to be... normal."

: Well, if you see that old fort back there... That's my home. Or it used to be. As for my connection to the Order, I happen to be a personal friend of its founder, and I have worked with them on occasion as a favor for him.

Kya frowned and pointed her sword at the man again.

"You either lie or are an abomination. That was over 700 years ago. No human would be living. Give me one reason I should not attempt to end you here and now."

"Man, what kind of weird dream is this?"

Seraphim was shocked when the commander mentioned the time.

: 700 years?! That's... impossible. But I... Oh God, I AM a tin can! This armor... Ooooh I think I know what happened after all...

Seraphim lowered his head, putting his thoughts in order, and spoke.

: After the War of God, the land was in turmoil. To settle the peace, Zhorne created the Order, and asked me to keep low for a while, since people feared the supernatural and the mages. As he was a friend of mine, I complied.

I retired to this fort away from the people. Magic was waning away since the end of the War, and my power with it. I couldn't summon lightning out of thin air, so I tried creating tomes that would serve as conduit for what little latent power was there. I tested them on the only thing I could use, which was this very armor. But something went wrong and... I died.

Now, 700 years after, I've come back to life by what seems nothing short of divine intervention, my soul bound to this armor, and my purpose still unclear.

This armor... was given to me by Zhorne, who had worn it himself on a couple of battles, as a present for helping him during the War. And proof of this is... on the back side of the helmet, there are the Giovanni coat of arms, and the initials ZG... Zhorne Giovanni.

: "An ancient spirit bound to a piece of armor, and for centuries at that." Hix surmised in a short sentence, and as that statement ended, his mouth broke out into a wide smile.
: "Fascinating..."

"Ghosts. Huh. New things every day." she muttered to herself before interjecting in the conversation.

"Oi! Knight girl!"
" This is real interesting an' all, seeing you point your sword at everythin', but if you're gonna try to krump the magic monster armour could ya try it somewhere else? There's tracks round here you might disturb, and I gotta find the guy that got away."
