Hix continued up the hill, sparing a glance at the axewoman crossing the river.
Hix to 6,6.

It didn't take long for Klasha to finish struggling through the water, storming up to the knights of the order.

"You bastards!" She roared at the knights. "You let 'im get away! When he was surrounded!"
She let out an explosive huff of breath, calming down.

"Ah, well. I found him before and I'll find him again. Thanks for the help butcherin' his cronies."

Kya was breathing heavily, her injuries catching up to her without the rush of battle, but she straightened her back, and pointed her sword at the axe wielder who was yelling at them.

"I do not know who you are, but you will not speak to members of the Order of Heaven like that. We fought well, and although our enemy used trickery to escape, that does not change the fact that we have learned much today. We successfully defeated an enemy, and have learned of a plot against the Empress. Although our details are few, that in and of itself is useful knowledge. The life of one enemy does not even begin to compare. Now. Name and occupation and why you are getting involved in Order business like this. You as well, magic user."

She pointed her sword at Seraphim on that last line.

Klasha folded her arms, unimpressed.
"Order of Heaven? And one of them's a witch?" She twitched her head towards Hix. "Sure there's a story there if I cared. I'm Klasha, not that it's any o' your business, knight girl. And I'm getting involved because that bastard butchered my... people. I've been tracking him for days, and I ain't much of a tracker. And now he's got away."

She quietly left off her choice of vocation, still fuming over the escape of her target. Especially now he could expect to be followed... she might never catch him.

"Damn it all!"

The hooded mage had stopped at the top of the hill, gaze quite frozen on the suit of armor further off.
: "..."
Hix barely acknowledged the possible slight against him, with only a single glance at the axewoman before continuing to stare at the armored mage. He took on a guarded stance, tome still in his hand.

Saresh rode back toward the others, battered, bleeding slightly, but obviously feeling proud of his accomplishment in battle. "Apart from the freak lightning storm, I think that went rather well."

Kya glared at Klasha, before turning to Saresh.

"Indeed. You all fought quite well. In particular, I was impressed by your bravery. Charging after that archer was a bold move, but it paid off. You not only distracted him from us, but took him out on your own. Well done."

Saresh puffed up even more from the praise. "Well, thank you for your kind words, Commander. I knew that leaving him to his own devices would just cause us problems, so I decided to remove him."

: I haven't lost my touch that much after all. My name is Seraphim. Yes, I am a magic user, no point in trying to hide it now that the Order acknowledges it. He said this part looking at Hix. I used to be called the Stormcaller. As for my intervention, it was these brigands who attacked me first as I got out of that forsaken fort, and I saw no reason not to give a hand to the Order again.
