armor stands and weapon racks

The wiki shows this is bugged (2014) but has it been fixed in new version?

If not...how to work around for military?  Build a small 1x2 stockpile next to each stand/rack?  Can you link up to those?

No, they went to Hel, where they lead a bleak existence in cold and darkness. Valhalla is reserved for valiant warriors.

The bug being that dwarves won't store equipment on them?  As far as I know nothing has changed about that, but the thing is that there is really no reason to store equipment on them or in your barracks anyway.  If you set your soldiers to not wear their equipment when off duty you just run the risk of them wasting too much time putting it back on when a threat arises.  These days everyone usually just tells them to wear their equipment constantly.

In the past it would slow down all work some because the dwarf's productivity was tied to its movement speed, which was slowed down by heavy equipment.  That all changed with .40.01's move speed / combat speed change, but I don't know how it affects job productivity now.  I'd wager it's still not enough to care about though.

Given how much effort it takes to get the dwarves to put all their armor on in the first place, I can't imagine why you would ever want them to take it off.
