As the group started to approach the vicinity of the village, they tracked through the forest on the edge of the road, stopping just outside. Most of Tevakon's rural areas remained defenseless, so Rayya was already thinking that things could have went poorly.
"
Be quiet. It looks like it's them over there."
Several of them were visible immediately, and it was clear that there was a commotion in the village. Over in Osea any that formed any resistance was quickly taken care of, as predicted. The leader was easily recognizable as the toughest, meanest looking one, of course. And he seemed to be right in the middle of the village.

"
Heh-heh. Even this far into the mainland, Tevakon is all bark and no bite. But they'll be here soon. We'll need to finish up here first, though. I'm sure our employer will be very pleased."
"
Keep the boys on the lookout. Villagers and farmers are easy to deal with, but we'll need to be cautious.~~~
Rayya and the others were able to see the scattered forces of the enemy, though Rayya had little interest in continuing to hide.
"
That's definitely them. We're too late, they've already arrived in Osea! We won't be getting out of this without a fight, anyway. May as well quit with the stealth."
Rayya rallied her horse and charged out of the forest; the others followed as an impulse. The nearby bandit started calling for help for his companions.
