Ow. My calculator tells me there's about a 1 in 288 chance of that happening, considering that the shots must be simultaneous, both shots must hit and both shots must hit the head.

The two men walk carefully atop the catwalk, trying to avoid disturbing the rusty, eroded half centimeter of metal suspending them above a fatal 2000-story drop. Their faces are drawn and sallow with fatigue from hours of walking, taking each step at a sloth's pace. Their clothes are soaked from the moisture that hangs in the air, smothering everything like a pile of blankets, as well as the cold film of sweat that's constantly maintained on their skin from the thought of having attracted a bounty man.

Jean-Louise De Quater. Some rich old bastard must've survived their crashing the party aboard the starliner, despite the ludicrous amount of explosives involved in the farewell. The two rugged outlaws had done their fair share of killing, and not for lack of trying had the SolaCorps enforcers failed to get their hands on the malicious pair of miscreants. Never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined to have "The Leg Breaker" sent after them. It was overkill. It's been said the man killed 14 people and disarmed a bomb while tied up and under the effects of a sedative and two kinds of nerve gas using only a guard's nose hair, and that was before he was even 10 years old. Once he tracked a quarry to where he had hidden himself inside a shielded capsule within an active volcano. He swam the magma, hacked the shielding using a plastic cat toy, pulled his target out and strangled him to death before he was incinerated, all because the man forgot to return a library book. The maniac had been hounding their steps since Hasponia Prime two daycycles ago.

There's not much to see in the mist. It's unclear when the catwalk is going to end. Neither of you can remember exactly how long you've been walking since De Quater is jamming SolaNet somehow. If only you had kept that pile of antique chronos you found instead of fencing them for two thousand credits each, not that either of you would have the patience to wind them.

Jin looks at Jim."How the hell did anyone survive to tell other's it was us Dammit!" Jin keeps his hand on his gun.

[Playergamer]

"Someone always does. We'll find him after we get out of here."

Jim turns around, holding his slightly infamous revolver in one hand and holding his face rag up with the other. If he sees the bounty man, he fires off a shot and ducks into cover.

"Oh How I'm ganna make that vermin pay!"Jin Looks around as if there's someone in every shadow. "Ya ever seen the "The Leg Breaker" before?"

There's a flitting whoosh as some dark, winged shape descends from above, landing with a slam on the grating. The figure's boots squeak on the dripping metal as he rises to his full height. You both recognize him instantly as none other than the bounty hunter, De Quater. He stands at a hulking eight feet tall, most of his body obscured by a black plastic poncho-coat that looms down past his ankles, though the sheen of his thick synthetic forearms can vaguely be seen jutting from where they're held at his sides. He wears a black wide-brimmed felt hat tilted down low past his brow, his head bowed just enough to obscure his mouth, leaving only the end of his stubbly chin sticking out beneath the dark circle atop his crown. He doesn't utter a single word. The two partners can't help but glance at one another. He hasn't announced his intention, and he hasn't drawn on either of you even though he clearly could have taken you both by complete surprise just now. It seems there's a chance to maybe talk this out. The giant man leans forward, as if it were his intention all along, placing either hand on the rails lining the sides of the catwalk. The air suddenly feels, much, much colder.

There's nowhere to hide on the catwalk, nowhere to run except forward or back. Did De Quater plan for this?

You both blam without hesitation but your panicked shots go wide. De Quater doesn't flinch, he doesn't reach for his gun either. His head tilts to one side and you hear him rasp. You can't say I didn't give you boys a chance.. His body flickers and blinks out of existence. A hologram! He's still hidden somewhere nearby-

[D.QUATER: 1, Malfunction, 3, Explosion!] You hear a bang followed by a string of curses. You both spin around just in time to see De Quater's ruined pistol fall to the catwalk with a clatter, and looking up you can both spy De Quater clutching his shooting arm, still perched on a rail stretching overhead. He leaps off and dives onto the catwalk, landing on both feet. His hand is slipped into his coat and gropes desperately for something. He yells desperately. Now wait a minute-!
