I know. Its more me not being sure what is worth taking. And a quick release backpack may be a bit loud for a stealth character.

I'm not sure exactly how fast points will be gained, or if the GM will let me take a halfbreed son as a dependent after start, but if we end up above ground, I will likely invest in some face skills/advantages. I imagine my character as a sort of sharp tonged high-cultured asshole. Would need 40 points to get reasonable intelligence though.
I'm not going to allow people to take Disadvantages for points after the campaign starts, that would be silly. You might want to consider buying them now.

If I throw you a .gcs, would you help me with gear? I'd like to get some non-combat essentials without going over light encumbrance or budget, but I'm not familiar enough with GURPS, or dungeon crawl type campaigns in general, to feel comfortable shopping.
I'd actually like if you could throw me the gcs regardless.
Here's your current equipment:
Rapier ($500, 2.75 lb.) This is actually TL4 but this is Fantasy, so whatever.
Crossbow ($160, 6 lb.)
20 bolts ($40, 1.2 lb.)
Large Knife ($40, 1 lb.)
Leather Armour ($100, 10 lb.)
Total: $840, 20.95 lb.

You don't want to go over 32 lb.
Things you'll want/need:
Hip Quiver ($15, 1 lb.) From the Dungeon Fantasy list. Other quivers are available. Holds 20 bolts.
Backpack, Small ($60, 3 lb.) Holds 40 lb.
Sleeping Fur ($50, 8 lb.)
Adds: $125, 12 lb.
Total: $965, 32.95 lb.

That takes you just over the threshold. There are three obvious options:
1. Drop the knife, bringing you to 31.95 lb.
2. Take a Shoulder Quiver and 12 bolts, bringing you to 31.97 lb.
3. Drop the knife, bolts, and quiver and buy a Cornucopia Quiver (unlimited ammo, one at a time), bringing you to 30.25 lb.

E: It's worth noting that you're not wearing shoes.

Either way, I'll write up a backstory and get you the gcs tonight or tomorrow. Can I go with a highborn/lesser nobility sort of background if I promise to buy the relevant skills/advantages should this campaign ever go somewhere where it would come into play beyond my character's boasting? Also, if you have the Dungeon Fantasy sourcebook, could you PM me any flavor blurb about Shadow elf society/lifestyle that might be withing? If not, I'll just assume Shadow Elf = Generic Drow type creature.
You can go with that sort of background, there are all sorts of excuses and justifications for not having the advantages such things bring (Exile, runaway, walkabout, disgraced etc.).

I don't have any specific fluff on Shadow Elves right now, feel free to assume/claim anything within reason.

I believe in edit there's a randomize button that will do things like that for you. That's how I ended up with my character's description.

Working on getting my sheet finished up. I'm likely going to end up 10-20 points in the hole, but will leave a back story full of opportunity for you to fill up the remaining points with enemies and dependents. I'd do it myself, but I'm not sure what to call frequency of appearance for NPCs in a campaign, that at least at the start, is likely to be a Dungeon Crawl that takes place over the course of hours or days. Are you okay with that?

Aaand done. Mostly. Still 15 points in the hole. I'd like the daughter mentioned in the back-story under the notes section to be added as a dependent, but I'm not sure what her appearance frequency would be. I'm sure it wont be quite enough to add up to 15 points, but I'm flexible and will take whatever disadvantages you want to plug in to make up the rest of the points. Just try not mess up his build as the sneaky stabber type, who uses the HT social skills, and perhaps later a few of the easier IQ ones, to try and make up for his nasty personality.

Sorry for any typos in the backstory. The GURPS app you linked me has no spell check :(

I covered the 15 points using Dependent. Right now Likkie only shows up at the beginning of a mission on a roll of 6 or less, you can justify this by saying that you're leaving her in a safe place while you're somewhere dangerous.

I can't seem to use the Google Drive share function on this connection. I will fix the links in the OP as soon as I'm able.

((Likkie, Kalen/Weirdsound's dependent, is not present.))

Skull Cave Rescue

The forest can almost be described as pleasant at that moment. The light lances through the canopy, braving cloud and leaf alike to meet the starved undergrowth of the forest floor. Above the party is the Green Mountain, a glorified hill really, and behind them lies the village of Eschenbach. The cave is on the right of a small outcrop, forming a small, easily scaled cliff in the side of the 'mountain'.

Isabelle spots a bearded man observing them from the mouth of the cave. He pulls his pipe from his mouth and shouts "State your business."

Isabelle pulls out her quarter staff.
"Or stay and we can chop you into tiny bits and feed you to the pigs."

(Few OOC items before we jump on into this. Can we assume that Kalen already talked Vorot into holding his sleeping furs before departing on this job. And should I be making my own Self Control rolls for Kalen's disadvantages, or should I just expect a PM or something whenever I fail one and have to behave badly. In a similiar vein, is Isabelle's dark one appearance grotesque/odd enough to disuade a Lecherous Male with fairly normal tastes in women? If not, do we just assume that he passed all his Self Control checks up to this point?)

((Let's assume for the moment that you passed that Self-Control check as we've essentially skipped the "You are in a tavern-" part of a campaign. I'll generally do Self-Control rolls myself and I'll PM those affected.))

Joking of course.))
