"Are we quite ready to go Ogre? Or did the villagers pay you to do Skull Cave's landscapeing while you were up here?"

Kalen drums his fingers against his chest impatiently, and heads back to town if Vorot does, leading the captive along at crossbow point if the Ogre dosn't pick him back up.

"I wreck the cave, then we leave" Vorot drag the log to the elevator, cut the thing that is holding it up and dump the log on it and go back to Kalen.

Isabelle leaves the room with her new trinket. She rides the elevator to the upper rooms and passes Vorot on her way out. Vorot walks up to the elevator and tries to cut the rope. While it's stronger than it should be, Vorot eventually manages to cut both of the ropes and the platform falls to the bottom of the shaft. Then he drops a tree on it for good measure.

Soon the party is reunited outside the cave's entrance.

Isabelle nods and silently slips her amulet into her pocket.

Kalen sighs. "I was hoping we could get more money to go and wreck the cave later... But that was actually pretty clever thinking... for an Ogre anyway."

The Elf flashes a snarky grin, and speaks in such a manner that it is hard to tell if he is being sarcastic or sincere. "If you were only a bit quicker, we could have split Isabelle's cut as well. Ah well. Live and learn."

Head back to town with party.

"Don't worry, with your attitude me and our big friend here may get extra yet."
Isabelle says in a deadpan voice.

"Don't worry, with your attitude me and our big friend here may get extra yet."
Isabelle says in a deadpan voice.

"Please, I killed more of the blighters than the both of you combined, and the Blacksmith can vouch for me. If anything, I'll get the bonus. People like us are not hired for our attitudes."

Kalen chuckles for a bit, before snapping back to attention, "but we should save the jokes and the banter, and remain on guard, until we reach the safety of town. Somebody let one slip away, if memory serves, and only the gods know what trouble he may be planning for us..."

"I fought one fairly, and took out the rest cleanly before they could fight back. I finished off one disabled one, I suppose, but the rest are kills I have earned earned."

The elf shrugs, "but I guess you two can have a tiny share of my credit for drawing their fire and distracting them."

Isabelle rolls her eyes.
When next possible I'm going to knock him out and take his cash.

The party makes their way down the hillside and through the forest, eventually reaching the village of Eschenbach. By now the sun has dropped below the horizon silhouetting the buildings against the twilight. The blacksmith thanks the adventurers for their help and takes his leave, soon his irritated muttering about cold forges and cheap steel fades in to the night.

The party makes their way back to the local inn, the Gentle Ember. Upon entering they find two men wearing surcoats emblazoned with the crest of Estwich. The two men look up at the party, paying particular attention to the Orge and his loudly-protesting bundle.
