[The Froggy Ninja]

Do whatever is necessarily to build up a hive in the old ruined fortress. Have 3 guards with us and the rest around the hilltop in ambush position. In case someone comes up here the gaurds are to kill, clean the area of blood, and than bring the body up to the fortress for later use.


We can't let the humans know whats going on up here.

The Ingestors begin digging out tunnels within the abandoned fortress. Currently, there is one large entrance hall and a pair of small offshoots. They produce a small amount of Slurry. The Excretors take most of it and produce Brekhen, which they use to patch up a few of the larger gaps in the abandoned fort and thicken the walls in a couple places. The Guards artfully conceal themselves, and you soon sense some useful prey. Several elk fall prey to the Guards, and three pseudodragons as well.

It watched carefully, hidden by snow and brush. It felt the ever-present tickle of it's Queen and the other Hive members in the back of the head, but focused on the other Guard's senses and It's own. What It senses is prey. It strikes, severing the head from the elk with one arm and slicing off the leg from another. Blood spurts out breifly, a sharp sanguine scent on the snow, but it is lost in the heat of the battle.

The humans seem blissfully unaware of your presence.

Continue working on the fortreses walls and digging tunnels. Have the guards move the corpses up and keep out for more prey, paying careful attention to NOT kill a human. If one goes missing they'll start looking and be all suspecting. Than we'll have a problem.

Anyone needing food can just go nibble on the fresh meat found.

The Ingesters shake off the lethargy that afflicted them previously. The corpses are brought up by several Converters, who eat what they need, as well as the others. All but one of the gaps are patched. The Excretors start focusing on reinforcing the walls now. Another elk and a pair of rabbits fall prey to your Guards. You feel a small tingle in You and the Drone that informs You that there will be eggs soon.

((You guys can't really eat anything but slurry of biomass, so I converted the corpses for you. Slurry can be made into biomass, as can corpses. If you guys want a map of the hive, I will make one.))

Don't kill animals unless it looks like there going to expose a hidden guard. dub one of the small chambers a nesting ground for the eggs of the queen and the drones. Other than that patch the final hole and reinforce walls. Next turn expand our diggings.

The Converters move quickly, taking the elk corpses and converting them into biomass. The Ingestors work effeciently, and You are pleased. While We do not quite have the output we had the previous week, it is still quite effective.
No animals wander by this week. The Excreters make good use of the slurry, and from it many of the walls are reinforced. You decide that the largest of the small chambers will be for nesting when You are ready. The tingling goes stronger.
