Immigrant Babies arriving on foot, fully clothed?
« on: August 22, 2014, 11:26:17 pm »

Is anyone else having this problem? Their mothers won't pick them up, or care for them. Everyone else feeds them, so I guess it's okay for now, but I was just curious if I was alone in this problem.

Do they have mothers? Sounds like they're orphans.

Just be thankful that they DO feed orphans noe.  Did they make their way to the meeting area?

No they aren't. None of them were, actually. Their moms just went about doing whatever they do.

Yeah they slowly crawl to the meeting area, then follow their parents.

Well, they are dwarves, not sloths. I guess they don't have to carry the babies everywhere. And I guess trying to keep a rowdy dwarf in a wooden crib is rather pointless. :P

I wonder, what would they do if someone killed their king.
Inevitable, who cares. Now an onion...

Especially a drunken dwarven baby, and to think humans have trouble with the rambunctiousness of their children :)

I wish that your dwarves could actually get drunk. Like during a party for example. Seeing your dwarves projectile vomit all over the dining room or on your masterwork statues.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I kinda imagine that drinking nothing but booze your whole life, you get a pretty high tolerance for that kinda stuff. I see dwarves drinking humans and elves under the table in taverns etc. :)

Right, with them being so used to booze. But can you imagine what is STRONG ENOUGH to make a dwarf get loose?

The part where babies are ignored by their migrant mothers is a known bug:

You can work around it by saving the game and reloading after the migrant wave. The mother will cancel her current task and go find the baby.

THANK YOU. You get a stack of dwarven syrup roast for that.
