I can't believe the first time I looked through Greenlight they just had the sequel to one of the series I was a big fan of. Amazing.

Er...anyway, for those that don't know, the Kingdoms Under Fire series is all about mixing RTS with action-RPG and its probably the only time I've ever seen it done reasonably well. Its a fantasy game, so you get all the Orcs and elves and vampires you could want in this mix and go watch the trailer because its amazing and I'm rambling so I'll shut up and let you guys find out about this amazingness.

Indeed, I do this.

Oh man, thanks for bringing this up. I loved the first two KUF games when I was younger, but boy did they get hard. I don't think I managed to beat either.

The only concerns I have is that KUF 2 seems to be a free-to-play MMO. That raises a couple of flags in the anti-hype part of my brain, but it still looks like it'll be pretty damn cool. Here's hoping it lives up to its predecessors.

Immediate concern I had about it, when doing a cursory google search, was that something like 80-90% of the images that popped up was elf tit. That's... generally kind of a warning flag re: quality and whatnot.

To be fair KUF wasn't ever a not-skimpy universe.

Something about Xbox 1 and having women be virtually unclothed, I assume.

Yeah, the opening photo for it on Steam is just scantily clad women, I mean is it so hard to not do that nowadays?

Fair enough. I'd actually never seen pics of the games before looking for this one, so if the earlier ones were decent maybe the devs involved are actually capable of walking the tightrope between breasts everywhere and a quality game. S'not impossible, just that quite a few that go down that path have trouble with it, heh.

It's just in the wheelhouse of sexploitation fantasy aesthetic. Don't worry, most/all of the women in KUF are deadly murderous beasts of war.

free-to-play MMO

Quote from: Steam Greenlight page
Now vote ‘YES’ and once Kingdom Under Fire II is greenlit and ready for release you'll download free copy, together with our thanks!

Besides the bizarreness of getting a "free copy" of a free-to-play MMO, at the end of first paragraph of the description on the Greenlight page, it says "Joyhubs is the official KUF2 publisher of PC platform in Australia and Brazil." It sounds like they may be bringing it to Steam, but not necessarily to the world.

For a while I thought we were starting to... kind of grow past the boob plate and fetish fighting gear.

Hey, the bikini's are IMPERATIVE to the war effort. I mean really, would you want to live in a world where women aren't taken seriously just because they like to show some skin? No one should have to throw on full plate just to get some respect!

To admit... There is probably a guy in this game who is wearing a Chainmail bikini... Right?
