@mog: Fatigue + Wounds and healing = long time between deployments.

@Ash: I've never done Long War, but I almost always found it more beneficial to dash survivors to the evac point, than to half their movement to use their ability. Also, it's been awhile, but I thought that the aliens kept reinforcing so long as the survivor was in play.
Also also, needs more smoke grenades. (Opening of last mission was perfect situation for one.)

Yeah, I figured in retrospect I was going too heavily into how I normally play XCOM (too few 'nades).
I thought about dashing the guy to the evac as well, but the last time I tried that (this wasn't the first recording) it went even worse for him.
Aliens will reinforce for a few set waves (if memory serves only when the waves finish is the stage actually considered complete).

That sucks. Guess I'd be soundly spanked if I got into LW.

Hope you feel better, and looking forward to future tales of struggle!

In vanilla, I'm pretty sure the aliens spawn as you move the VIP. As he reaches certain points they spawn. They could have changed it in long war though...

Anyways glad he died well.
Okay glad he died.
...okay glad he shot aliums ded at certain points and really I can't argue against that.

He died as he lived: Acting as a (dodgy) sponge for others.

Unfortunately, the spirit of the Giant Sponge was not with him, and he could do only so much with a spine.

I managed to not kill something at point blank range with a shotgun! With one health though.

Now I'm in hospital for a month.

So as it turns out trying to play Long War while tired is a really good way to get burnt out on it.

Next episode shall happen, but...it'll take a little.
