...And we got griefed. And it's my fault.

Here's what happened: Some guy says he's bored and wants to look around, so I let him TP to me. I have enchanted diamond stuff and he had only iron, so I wasn't too worried. After he looked around, he wasn't there and I thought he left. Half an hour later, I logged off to go do some RL stuff. When I can back, any valuables he could get to were gone (which doesn't count the 3 stacks of diamonds I have stored in an Ender Chest) and there were holes in some floors. The damage isn't too bad and should take about five minutes of work to fix, but the farm was cleared and we lost our enchanting table (but not the bookshelves). Considering that he couldn't find very many valuable things (and he seems to have checked for hidden rooms or chests), I doubt he'll come back, but we should be very careful when letting people TP to us.

tl;dr I thought a guy left when he didn't and then he griefed us. In the future, don't allow people to tp to us.

We got griefed again, but worse. Hopefully you kept your valuables either on you or in an enderchest.

Should we move our base? This time, no one will be allowed to TP to us unless they are from these forums. I think the guy who tp'd to us and griefed kept our coords and came back.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

There's a new base around 5306, 79, -6420. The bed is mine; the area the bed is in will be an even circle with radius 6. It will have a design similar to the old fort. The first couple blocks near the entrance are reserved for a 2x2 flush piston door.

Edit: If you're at the old base, it's fastest to take the nether portal to get to the new one.
