I'd like to be in the military. I also want to be in some other role, but I'm not sure what it should be yet.

Hey Cmega3?  You may want to redecorate a bit.  While none of the stuff that was there was too much in the way of the staircase to the second floor, you may want to move things around.

All the interior spaces of the houses are finished.  Feel free to move into an open one.

People seem to have built their houses along the canal for the most part. I don't know if people want to move to the main chamber, like we did in Duma, once it's done, but if people still want to live along a canal, perhaps we can branch it off and build it taller, like a proper underground Venice.

I would like to continue service in the guard, but will not try to become commander if such a position ends up existing.

I'd also like to submit a proposal that a tournament, both in archery contests and melee with no armor and wooden swords, be held after our government is established and after elections. Any citizen in good standing or foreigner who pays a very small tithe is allowed to participate. The winner in both is given the honorary title of Champion and half the tithe, if any, until the next election/tournament. It'll give us something to do in the theater, if nothing else.

This was sorta the idea I was thinking. +1

Would work.   Going to make the theater/arena similar to the Colosseum in shape.

I can move my residence to the main chamber and use the room I was staying in as a office or shop. But the Venice idea though sounds pretty fancy.

Personally, I like the Venice idea a little bit more than a massive open chamber.  Seems more unique.

And I'm all for it, too. I just think those who have residences along the wall of the canal might want to move further underground, so we should start making a grid. I'll dig an example of a multi-tiered thingy later. Basically, tall corridors, walkways on sides, canal is street level, and rooms and residences carved into sides. Sort of underground Venice with a bit of Vivec thrown in.

This sounds a lot more original than a big open chamber, and more fun to build too. It would please me greatly if it was tall enough to string bridges between columns to create a sort of second story. Maybe where we've already dug should be at the "second story" level so what we've already dug doesn't go to waste.

Yeah, an underground Venice sounds good and original. We should get a plan drawn up (with fairly large storage and public areas). We should still have a large chamber going up to the surface, though.

Could use the current main chamber dig, turning it into a dome, and building the city within.

That could work. However, we'd also need to make it significantly larger.

Could start with current width, then expand as necessary.

Also, After moving the rooms, We could expand the current canals to 5 wide with a 2 wide path to either side, a short distance after it dives underground, which could be the width of the streets in Underground Venice
