There's a Goblin in the Castle

And... he's in charge?

I just spawned as a human adventurer of some local importance and found myself standing next to Kisho Estoma, who is a goblin. After waiting a few instants, taking a few experimental steps and finally summoning the nerve to speak to him, I have determined that not only is he not hostile, he is in fact the lord of the ruling Factional League.

I confess I find this somewhat puzzling. There are other humans standing around but nobody seems to think their ruler is anything more than a short, ugly man. Is this normal? Is this a bug? Should I kill everyone in the name of human supremacy?

This is normal. Some time ago, your faction conquered his hometown bringing enlightenment and civilization to the goblins that lived in there, wallowing in the misery that was there lives. Those who remained saw the light of humanity and adopted their culture entirely. This goblin, being long lived, a model citizen, and desiring to further spread the glory of his faction was appointed to lord.

Both your faction and your lord are right in all things.
