There will be no spoiler warnings in the introduction, rules, or explanation. If you do not want spoilers do not read below this.Westeros is wrapped in a tide of chaos once again, in the Stormlands a man claiming to be Aegon VI Targaryen has, with the Golden Company and many soldiers from the various states in the free cities, marched for Storm's End to conquer the castle and have a staging point for his war for the Iron throne. Cersei Lannister, the Queen-Regent of Tommen Baratheon, descends into her own madness at drives the small-folk ever further into dissent. The Lords Paramount of the Seven Kingdoms are divided more than ever from the Throne's authority. With southern Westeros in chaos and disarray the House of Bolton sits in the North and watches, content in their dominance, they face perceived threats and legitimate threats from the discontent vassal houses and pressure from the Free Folk in service of the Night's Watch. However, it is best not to speak of the south, as the petty lords and the squabbling are soon to be irrelevant. Reports from rangers and wildlings alike tell Jon Snow, the newly appointed Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, that an ancient enemy of man has been spotted creeping ever closer to the wall. The Others, sometimes called the White Walkers, have been seen in large groups for the first time in over eight thousand years. The Night's Watch is calling all able bodied men and women of Westeros, the warning has been sounded that a second Long Night is coming, as the old prophecies which have by now become legends and myth stated. The rallying call is heard and small-folk and nobles from Westeros, and even some from as far as Asshai, flock to the wall to defend mankind as a whole from the Others.
This is where you come in, you will be one of these recruits. Whether your character worships the Seven or worships R'hllor, whether they think themselves some prophecy foretold messiah or simply a farmer come to defend man from their oldest and greatest foe, and whether your blood is noble or ignoble, pure or stained, it matters not, for now you all fight for the same cause. The story will start with an introductory post from every person involved, you will introduce your character in any way you see fit, tell us everything or just enough about them to keep us guessing. Once every player has introduced themselves I will post and we will get things underway.
IC RULES- Each player will be given 24 hours to post. Any player who does not post is not out of the game, but their character will be removed until they come back. If you manage to post before the next round of posting begins, that's fine.
- No godmodding obviously, you can think that you're Azor Ahai but you can't actually BE Azor Ahai. Or the Prince that was Promised.
- You cannot kill other player's characters for any reason whatsoever, and you cannot cripple them. Fights are fine if you have a squabble.
- Romance is fine if both players agree that their characters should become a couple. But don't start fucking in camp.
- Every post must be a minimum of one paragraph long, feel free to write a small novel if you wish though.
OOC RULES- Be respectful of all players no matter what.
- I am the GM. If you do something I think breaks the lore I will tell you to change your post.
- You must have at least a base understanding of the game of thrones lore and universe to join. You don't have to stalk wikis and tinfoil theories about who Jon Snow is a descendant of, but you need to know what a white walker is and other basic things like that.
- You cannot play a canon character, they must all be original.
