"It felt so strange. He was very talented alchemist. How could he let a whole place collapse? I heard about it but, apparently, when his body was found...." Shiro looks grim, guilt in his eyes.

"...He was missing a left arm." He holds his head in guilt, sadness.

"Why? Why did he give me this left arm which is his only weapon? He could have done so much things! Why waste it on like that! I would have never asked for him if I knew he was going to give me a freaking arm!"

"Dinnae beat yourself up about it, Shiro. It's not your fault. Everyone has a time and a place, what matters is what you do on the way."

Medea, Mitsuru and Tohru are faffing around.

[JollyGent]

"He knew he was going to die. That's why he gave me his arm. For me to use and to further the knowledge that he already has. But I'm just sitting here talking to a random girl, making figurines for her and her little pet." Shiro says in disgust.

"I can't do that. Doesn't work that way." Shiro looks determined.

"Huh, I think I might have a decent idea on how to fix this up then."

"Why nae? Why can't you use magic to impress pretty girls, people, including me have been doing that for who knows how long."

"My friend died because he wanted me to use alchemy for a good cause through studying it and knowing more about it. How can I use it to just impress girls?"   Shiro puts his suit back on.

"I have no time to make friends." His tone was more darker than usual. It seemed very harsh.

Tom takes off his mask.

"Then you've got no time to live, mate. Yes, it would be a waste if you spent all your bloody time flirting with girls and making origami birds, but it would also be a waste if you locked yourself in, and spent the rest of your life studying alchemy. Those jokes, those little flirts out there, they change lives. Every single thing you do, every single thing anyone does, changes the world, changes the universe. You might make a huge discovery in here, but you'd throw away a universe, Shiro, and that's not a fair trade."

Tom smiles darkly.

"Believe me, I'd know. So, Shiro, are you going to get a haud of yirsel, or am I going to have to give you a Glasgow kiss?"

"Cheesy oneliners and half witty jokes change lives?.." Shiro raises an eyebrow.

"That just sounds like a very bad tabloid newspaper title about me." Shiro chuckles.

"I sure didn't change no one's life with them things. Also, please speak English before you try to give an advice."

"Speak English? Nae."

"Shiro, they don't change lives majorly, but every single word a person hears, every single thing they see, changes them just a little. And every little nudge can change the world, as you should know."

"I am pretty sure I'll have a negative effect of people like Tohru. Innocent and caring."

"You won't. Believe me. You are a good person, Shiro. You got in between two people who might've killed each other without you, and risked your life. Tell me, honestly, tell me, how you would make her worse."

[JollyGent]

"She had good parents. She had a good mother, not pretentious, forming her and influencing her to as innocent and loving as she is now. I envy her. Envy her! Why do I envy her? I didn't get parents who love me. They were pretentious, selfish people. How..." Shiro drops his head in despair.

"How am I supposed to go anywhere near Tohru when her aura seems to completely counter mine? When her personality and innocence just simply makes me guiltier. Makes me hate myself even more because I envy her."

"You know how? Go talk to her. Being envious is fine, eejit, as long as you don't try to steal her maw or something like that. Talk to her, and stop being so mopey, you ken? It's a little worrying."

[JollyGent]

"Oblivious people like her won't understand. Gotta study now. Thanks your time." Shiro chuckles mischievously as he fixes his tie. He walks out to the library, he was having a headache.
