"Did you have good parents?" Shiro walks slowly with Tohru. The chuckles on his face are gone, just cold, serious stare, with his red eyes starring at Tohru with silence. If anyone saw Shiro right now, he would feel like a different person, his cocky, arrogant tone and mischievous smile all disappeared from his face.

"...Kind... of...?" Mimu whispers back, only knowing vaguely what a vampire was a too scared to run away and hide from someone in her art class for the rest of her life.

"Oh. Okay." Mitsuru shrugs. Mimu had confirmed her suspicions.
"I thought you were a giant space leech or something."
"Uh....well....my mom was nice....and I don't remember much about dad...."

"ahh, I'm sorry." Shiro says sympathetically.

"EH?" Mimu stares at her in utter confusion. Partially because of the words she didn't understand, and partially from Mitsuru's apparent lack of caring...

"Did you honestly think it would be a problem? I share a dorm with a man who uses the power of gods. Three of our classmates are a demon, a person who may be half plant, and an entity from god-know-where imposing itself upon reality. One of the teachers is a mannequin. Another is an angel ruling the abyss.

You're just a normal girl to me, Mimu." She smiles.
"It's fine, really. I can always talk to mom. She's always with me." The girl smiles, taking out a plastic-wrapped frame with the picture of a short-haired woman smiling- presumably her mother.

"...But... what..." Mimu slowly tilts off of her chair and faints... Not expecting that...

Mitsuru sighs and lies Mimu on an empty chair, whipping out a ribbon and morphing it into a blanket for her.

"Now I know where your beauty comes from!" Shiro's chuckle come back, although this time, his chuckle conveys envy.

((You know how Marcus is a modified version of Godou? Well, Tohru is a barely modified version of her namesake. So yes, her mother is dead. Not that it wasn't obvious.))

"Believe it or not, sharkie, this isn't a coping mechanism. Trust me. She likes to think her mother's with her all the time."
"She fainted and I thought she might be cold."

((Shiro's still a human, it doesn't matter to him if Tohru's mother is dead or not, the fact that she had a mother who wasn't pretentious and didn't want to kill everything for her selfish needs gives him a subtle feeling of envy; although he is fully aware that it is wrong. He will later mature though.))

"Good to meet you." Shiro smiles. He feels envy. He doesn't know why. A mother without pretentiousness. Mother without a mask. Just purity itself killed him, because Shiro thought he was opposite of purity. 'It's wrong to envy'. He thinks. Why should he envy? all envy was to him was a piece of chain with the only person who imprison you, being, well, yourself.

"Me being creepy, me being smart, me being charismatic, me being me, and me being modest." Shiro chuckles mischievously.

"I'm like marmite. You either like me or hate me. Kekekeke"
