Deciding to gamble a second time Louis slowly drifts to the side, positioning himself and the chairs between the possible vantage points and Marcus. If this Perseus fella really was honorable as he was said to be, he'd have to go through all the trouble of the avoiding catching him in the attack. If he isn't, well, at least one of the chairs has a Malice Trigger on it...

Several vines stealthily fly out towards not Marcus, but most of the group. Unfortunately for said vines, this sets off the Malice Trigger.

"Check."
With a ghastly wail, the air chills rapidly, mists sublimating around the folding chair closest to Louis. Undergoing spontaneous combustion with ice-cold fire, it shifts and seemingly phases into the chair behind it. The entire caterpillar of furniture proceeds to rise and rushes towards the source, aiming to find it and jackhammer itself along with the culprit into the nearest solid object.

"Why are you all fighting!"

The force of the blow cleans through some foliage and slams into the base of a tree, which keels over, accompanied by a scream and the sound of rustling leaves. The vines retract slowly back towards their origins.

"Wait, what?"

[Empiricist]

"Remember when I said that chair would come in handy? Well, it only sets off when someone nearby decides that they want to do something bad to me. I didn't do shit, the enchantment did. Shouldn't kill anyone, well, on average, I'm going off of the average bloke as a reference when I do my thing."
"Okay what the fuck? Who the hell are you and why d'ya try wrecking my shit?"
Louis backs away into the center of the group. If this person, presumably Perseus or an associate of his, attacks, the centechairpede would still be right next to them which meant that a single pulse of magic would easily beset it back upon them.

Ailill is walking along the edge of the forest when he sees the were-light of the chair based attack near the other side of the forest. Ailill turns and watches, heavy black hooded cloak lending his pale face a macabre aspect. His longsword is hidden underneath the cloak, lacking a scabbard Ailill moved with care to not impale himself in an unfortunate fall. It was finished now, polished, sharpened and had a proper grip each obtained by working in the forges.

@Smurf: What does Ailill see?

A seemingly disparate group of broken plants, trees and vines reassemble into their true form: a dryad. She manages to speak with broken English.

"Why has been here in?"

She looks confused and angry.

[Empiricist]

"Uh, what? We were having a picnic, why were you trying to staunch our asses?"
