When Ghislaine throws her Kick John suddenly launches upwards over the attack holding up an arm to block the probable swing from her tail as he charges forward and launches a feint in the form of a kick towards her legs before he backs up slightly and then ducks as he punches her in the stomach.

Ghislaine is no slouch when it comes to fighting. As John dodges her kick, she springs backwards, giving her plenty of room to dodge his 'feint'. Though it isn't really a feint if you don't follow it up immediately. As such, as he punches her, she deftly sidesteps it and reaches down with her hands to grab his wrist. Using his momentum against him, she twists her body and throws his hands behind her before letting go. This accomplishes three things. First, it overextends John so that he takes longer to recover has trouble dodging. Secondly it gives her time to quickly step out of range before he can follow up with a kick or punch. Finally, it gives her tail slightly more force as it whips out, aiming to scythe his legs out from underneath him. Or smack him hard if he tries to escape her attack by rolling.

John does indeed try to escape the attack by rolling and catches the brunt of the attack with his head causing him to let out a pained hiss as he flops onto the ground. What he does next is blocked by the two fist fulls of sand he throws towards Ghislaine while he rolls towards her left side so as to use the possibly awkward angle against her. He quickly gets up before running towards her. His muscles bulge as his strength increases by about ten percent.

Ghislaine is caught off guard by John's attack, even if it is just sand. Her hair starts to wiggle and clean her face from the offending particles, as she jumps to the side and takes a couple steps back to earn herself some more time to react. Hearing his steps in the sand as he charges toward her, the demon girl crouches slightly to better brace herself, her hands out to meet his new attack.

John sees her hold out her arms and quickly grabs her manacles as he jumps over her with a tug to send her falling backwards, his leg kicking back towards her knees to further throw her off balance. If all goes as planned she would land on her back.

Unfortunately, as John pulls upwards on her manacles, Ghislaine instinctively pulls back. So instead of gracefully jumping over/around her, he slams right into the demon girl and the two go down into a heap. Ghislaine recovers first, but with John pinning her down with his body weight, there's not much she can do except headbutt him and flail his legs to try and escape.

John uses the opertunity to pin Ghislaine's arms over her head while he manuvers his leg to pin her tail. He smirks as he leans over her.

Ghislaine doesn't keep still, but struggles underneath John as she tries to find a way to escape the pin. With her legs apparently free, she wiggles them into a more situatable position as she waits for John's next move.

John says raising an eyebrow.

((Yay. Making everyone begrudgingly like her while still being in character is going to be a pain though... Oh well, she's pretty fun like this anyways.))

((Louis certainly doesn't mind her, though then again that may just be due to him hardly ever interacting with her.))
"Maybe we ought to look for someone who knows shit 'bout Marcus' gauntlet? That could sort that shit ought."
Louis promptly leaves with his folding chair, heading to the library.
