It seems that Ms. Gauldur is both bashing at her and trying to get her to reconsider.

"Oh, let her do what she wants, no matter how terrible an idea it is. Yes, she may be ugly, moronic and have no chance at succeeding on her own, but it shall be amusing watching her flail around and fail," Ghislaine says with a massive smirk, enjoying herself immensely.

...for a second, Ghislaine sensed something strange coming from Ms. Gauldur. She's not quite sure if it's magic or not, but it is definitely not from a normal human. Or maybe her demonic senses are tricking her...

"What I want is to be free." she glared at both of them "Not in another cage"

Ghislaine's smirk drops off of her face as Ms. Gauldur leaves the room. Whatever she sensed would have to be investigated later, since she had more important things to worry about. She stares at Fuschia thoughtfully for a couple moment and then asks, "Yes? And what does being free mean to you? Before you ask, I am being very serious here and as such am not trying to mock you. I am curious as to what you mean by being free."

Fuschia glared at the back of Ms Galdur as she left, eventually though she slumped down against the wall.
"Being able to choose where I want to go, what I'm going to do and who I want to be with"

"And? How are you going to achieve that? Last I checked you humans have stopped being hunter-gatherers, which means that you have to take a job and be shackled to society. Face it, you're just escaping one cage for a roomier one."

Fuschia glared at Ghislaine for a moment but then sighed,
"I don't know"

"Hmmm... Well I suppose that you have three options. You could work hard, get excellent marks, find a good job, make lots of money, and enjoy complete freedom in... 50 years or so? You'll hardly be in the prime of your life by then. Or you could put the bare minimum into working and hope that the Singularity or Post Scarcity or the Rapture whatever miraculous event you believe in happens before you die. Very unlikely of course. Or you could sell your soul to me, or some other demon, and have enough money to support yourself for the rest of your life. Of course you'll end up in Hell after you die, but it's a nicer place than most people think and chances are you'll end up there anyways." Ghislaine leans against the wall next to Fuschia, rubbing her chin thoughtfully, "Hmmm... No matter how you slice it you'll have to swallow your pride to get what you want. How unfair."
