The demongirl isn't phased at all, "See? Now that is much more impressive. Why weren't you doing that in the first place?" Obviously that was a rhetorical question, as she continues, "Anybody can learn to shoot a rifle properly. It takes much more skill to do it improperly and still hit."

Madi tosses it at Marcus underhanded, like it's a baseball. Once he catches it, he'll notice that it weighs almost as much as say, a violin. Needless to say, not heavy at all.
"Just take a look at the target."

Marcus aims in the general direction of the target, looking down the sight.

"The gun's not the problem, how the hell do you deal with the recoil from this thing?"

There's a clean-cut hole right in the geometric center of the target.

Marcus takes a shot, just hitting the edge of the target.

"Bah."

"Oh, don't feel so bad Marcus. We can't all be gifted like Madi," Ghislaine says with more than a touch of sarcasm.

Marcus would find that he could actually not pull the trigger. And no, it's not the safety.
"No. Minor errors, slight change to the trajectory."

"You literally just picked up that gun and fired, there's no way you would've been able to control that without aiming properly."

Marcus checks if there's ammo in the gun, and keeps spamming the trigger.

The demongirl rolls her eyes, "I thought you were smarter than that, Marcus. Especially since she just summoned it in front of your eyes. It isn't obvious?"

"It's obviously restricted use, but I could use more practice aiming, anyways."

After a long wait, an arm comes out of the water under the target, and launches a knife into the air. After a few seconds, the long blade just barely scratches the bottom of the target, before beginning to fall back to the water. Some very loud swearing can be heard as it hits the water.

(Don't ask about the throw. Possible, but unlikely ((actually rolled.)))

"...it works best when the situation is impressive? I kid, I kid. Pretty good rifle, though. What caliber?"

Marcus grins, watching the knife fly out of the water.

"Great, knife-pixie-thing is going for a swim."
