Tom nods after tasting the pie.

"Sound, eh. Usually don't like lemon, but this was good."

Tom stands back up and walks over to Ghislaine, sitting next to her.

Nevermind. Tom follows Marcus and Gasoline, then.

They'd eventually find Madi. She's in a standard position, laying on the ground, though she appears to have a spike on her prosthetic that's digging into the ground. She's currently wearing noise-canceling headphones. She fires again, of course, this might hurt their ears momentarily.

Marcus taps the hearphones.

"Mind if I asked what you are shooting at?"

"A target, of course. They don't let you shoot at living creatures, I checked."

Madi silently hands him a pair of binoculars. A fair ways out above the ocean, there's a target being held up by a drone of some sort. He'd see 3 holes right around the bullseye.

"Well, shit. Good shot."

Tom holds out a hand for the binoculars.

"Let me see."

Marcus hands them over.

"What scope are you using?"

Tom takes a look.

"Decent. A little off, but at that range, better than most."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Ghislaine shrugs, "Hmmm... It's not that impressive. It's mostly about timing and judging wind speed."

Tom lowers the binoculars, and raises an eyebrow at Ghislaine.

"...she's hitting the target dead on at the kind of distance where you have to account for the bloody rotation of the earth, and wind resistance. I'd call that impressive."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Only because you don't have the training to do so. It is much simpler and much less impressive than you think."

[smurfingtonthethird]

"Just shut up, Ghislaine. Just... no.

Madi, where'd you get the rifle?"

Marcus examines the weapon.

Tom smiles at Ghislaine.

"Whatever you say, darling."

Tom puts his mask back on, and, with his left hand, he makes a V-sign with the palm facing inwards, before jumping into the water.

The rifle dissipates into golden dust, which flies off into the wind.
"I summon the rifle."
She resummons the rifle on the ground once she stands.
"Also, I don't have any training, Ghislaine. If you're really not impressed..."
The rifle flies up to her hand and it shoots in the direction of the target. She's not facing it at all.
