Kyle watches Madi put it on.

   "G-Good, I guess."

Madi blushes lightly, noticing Kyle staring at her putting the prosthetic on. She quickly gets up, nearly falling, and goes into her dorm room.

Tom quietly raises his face back up, after being silent for a while, and looks at Louis.

"I'm...not a wordsy person, by any metric. Took me this long just to figure out what to say. Long story short, we won the war because we couldn't lose. There's billions and billions of people on this planet. The glorious human race, as it were. Every single person on this planet would make sacrifices to stay alive. And...many of those people would also throw away their lives just for one, tiny, inconsequential thing, a tiny unimportant thing called freedom. When the war started, the people on the front lines realized that they were fighting for every damn thing on this planet. Justice, freedom, whatever buzzwords you want to throw in. Freedom from slavery to gods, aliens, fate, whatever. So, when this people fought, they didn't just fight for their own lives, or for their country, but for every person, every animal, every idea on this planet."

Tom puts his head back down on the table.

"Some people like to debate what things would be like if we lost...I know, and I don't want to think about it ever again."

Pauliina slowly slides of her bed drowsily.
