He opens his sketchbook, and starts sketching portrait of Madea, often peaking her to see her face. Blue hair, blue eyes, emotionless face, something about her was mysterious. Her emotions supposedly locked away and for what? How does one express oneself with their emotions locked away? Shiro didn't understand. The girl fascinated him to a great degree.

Marcus finally gets off work, and walks into the library.

"So, what are you two talking about?"

[Empiricist]

"Apparently, crashing 'gainst the side of a closet now."

"Uh, what?"

[Empiricist]

"Nothing, nothing... just small talk. Anyway, did any of those prophecies show what would happen if someone just caps Perseus from a klick or two away?"

"...I only saw h-him die w-when I killed him with t-the Warrior a-authority... he e-either gets a-away or kills m-me otherwise..."

Marcus looks uneasy talking about the prophecies, especially when it comes to his own death.

"The fuck's an authority and what does that one do?"

"It allows me to create countless golden swords that have the ability to kill, uh, a lot of things... at the cost of knowing everything a-about what I'm trying to kill."

"As do guns. Has anyone in any of those things tried doing shit like that? Like inscribe something really fucking nasty in a hollow-point and cap him with it?"

"The s-same reason you can't do that to a god, they... magic their way out of it."

[Empiricist]

"That's bullshit and you know it."
It was not so much an accusation as much as it was a plain statement.
"How the fuck would you know if you don't try? I bet a god or some-such had something to do with that 'fact'. If that's true, why did Iza-whatshisface die during the war? If that's true, how the fuck do you kill Perseus in those sims? If the guy was so damn magical, why doesn't he just magic you dead? If you can't do that to a god, then how the hell did you kill a god? I'm pretty damn sure that you got that sword shit after killing 'em, not before. So unless you have some amazing god-killing magic you ain't telling us 'bout, or aren't entirely honest 'bout the god-murdering, you disproved your own point.

How 'bout trying the kind of magic that calls upon godly magic 'n' shit? I mean, sure you killed a god, but I don't think all of 'em give two fucks 'bout that. Plus you don't have to go to a human one. I dunno 'bout you, but I'd rather be the guy lying dead next to an empty gun than the guy lying dead to a fully loaded gun."

"...to be honest, I don't really know how any of that works, except for the fact that gods are really, really god damn hard to kill, since a lot of gods haven't died. How did Iza-whatever die? Anyhow, the only reason I'm not ash at the moment is because she...um, I got lucky. Really, really lucky.
