Tom still has an arm around Ghislane, because, seriously guys, he might be a little suicidal.

"Oi, you could've just told us instead of attacking us. Sorry about the mess."

[USEC_OFFICER]

Ghislaine doesn't react at first, and just tilts her head slightly to the side to look at Tom as she narrows her eyes. And then she strikes, beginning with the traditional elbow to the groin. She doesn't stop there, however, and she stands up to swing her heavy manacles at Tom's head as she snarls, "Not now, and not ever, you undercooked sack of organs."

Tom takes the hit to the groin like a gentleman and a scholar without a word, and hits the ground, before rolling a bit. He doesn't appear to be trying to dodge.

Ms. Gauldur frowns once more and closes the book, neatly and silently putting them away. She gets up and leaves her office.

[USEC_OFFICER]

The demongirl steps forward to place her foot on Tom's neck. She doesn't press down to constrict his breathing though. Not yet. "Well? What do you have to say for yourself?"

As Ghislane puts her foot on Tom's neck, he slowly begins to fade out a little, and then fade back in, possibly tripping Ghislane.

"Bloody hell. You want the good news, or the bad news?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

Ghislaine hasn't put pressure on Tom's neck yet, so she ain't off-balance and thus doesn't trip. "Just hurry up and talk already. I don't care about your pathetic news."

"First of all, thanks...ouch...for helping. Anyway, good news, that danger shift means this is the right universe. Bad news....this smarts a little."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Good. I hope it does." She is, of course, referring to the pain that Tom is going to feel as he shifts.

Tom rolls to the side a little, and tries to stand up, if a little lopsidedly.

"I'll be fine, thank you for your concern. Probably won't fully shift, since you held back when you hit me."

Tom looks around, finding a nearby tree, and stares at it for a good long while.

"Probably won't kill me."

Tom then goes and leans on the tree.

Ghislaine wasn't holding back. If everyone wasn't superhuman, Tom would probably have brain damage. Assuming that his brains weren't spilled all over the ground, of course. She glares at Tom, taking a step towards him and grunts, "Well if it doesn't then I will."

"Go ahead and try, honey."

Tom seems oddly...nonchalant about a demon trying to bash his brains out.

Ghislaine narrows her eyes slightly, and steps forward to slap Tom with her tail. Just to see what he's planning.
