Ghislaine rolls her eyes, "Can you actually control them and use them for something other than running away?"

"I'll fight regardless. At least some of them will activate when I'm helpless."

Ryuka seems utterly exhausted from work, despite only shelving books and all of that. She tiredly walks into the common room.
Ms. Gauldur appears to be looking at Marcus's file.

"Ain't it a fucking bad idea to rely on being helpless? I mean, you should at least have some plan to get the fuck out of there or have other people assist."

Marcus's record seems to be pretty mundane, until the Human-Layar war, where the file reads he joined the defense of Earth, complete with a picture of him and a few others standing around what was left of a Layar Archon.

After a month of civilian life, Marcus had a breakdown, and was sent to a special shellshock treatment facility in Rome. Eventually, he was allowed to walk around the town, taking in the sites and making a few friends there. However, after he disappeared for 32 hours, he reappeared having supposedly killed the god Verethragna, in an event he won't disclose.

After a week of testing, including an event in which he teleported back home to his [REDACTED], Marcus was sent to this school in order to monitor his activities and provide protection and guidance for him, at the request of Ms. [REDACTED].

Marcus's personality is usually calm, but certain stimulus can easily provoke him, although he displays restraint in using his abilities. Full extent of his abilities are unknown, but has managed to kill a god and teleport halfway around the word. Literature states he has ten abilities.

Oliver completely stops working and initiates conversation with whoever hired him.

Mimu arrives back at the school and goes into the common room with her homework. She sits down to someone she knows to talk with them if they want while they work. She unintentionally sits next to the mean Tail-Lady if shes in there.

Ms. Gauldur closes the file and frowns. She adjusts her glasses and silently places the file back.

[Empiricist]

"Well, what do you plan on doing then? I mean, that gauntlet would make holding, say a glock, a pain in the ass."

Ms. Gauldur sits down in her office and pulls a drawer, retrieving and laying down what appears to be old books and tomes on her desk. She flips open an old book about divine history to a page and brings out a photo of Marcus's gauntlet. She begins her usual routine of cross-referencing things book-to-book, most notably on the gauntlet and its power.

"A glock? Heh. Funny."

"Anyway, I'm Tom. Who are you?"

Oliver's manager is a snooty guy who apparently lives on his tablet.

"Yes?"


"I can... gauntlet-punch stuff? My abilities are pretty potent, I'm not sure I'd need the back-up."


The gauntlet doesn't appear anywhere. At all. The closest thing the gauntlet resembles is the colour of several legendary Japanese swords.

"Louis Noel, amateur enchanter."
He performs an overly dramatic bow before adding in with a staccato rhythm to his delivery
"Habitual liar. Not really an enchanter. Actually named Skyler."
"So you're just going to run up to some guy and try pushing their face in? Aren't you just gonna get got when they hit you with a spell or something?"
