Ah. An initial backlash, tempered by the fact that they fought off these Layar, no doubt magic beginning to make its way into various governance institutes, secretive organizations forming out of various intelligence departments to better deal with the various supernatural incidents, and isolation enclaves like this one. It's still in the early stages.

He seems to know what he's talking about for whatever reason.
