Mimu doesn't respond, scooting away quickly in fear after seeing Oliver slammed into the wall. She gets up and runs to hide behind Amy.

"Enough."
Suddenly, two giant hands constructed from ribbons wrench Ghislaine and Oliver apart with some difficulty. One hand presses against Ghislaine to keep her away from Oliver, the other hand calmly pushes Oliver out of the room to receive help.

Mitsuru is very calmly watching the entire scenario, a tea cup in one hand and a plate of cake in the other, the hands linking to ribbons coming from behind her.

[USEC_OFFICER]

Ghislaine glares at Oliver for a couple more seconds, and then suddenly they are separated by Mitsuru's ribbons. If the demon girl is surprised by this, she doesn't show this. Nor does she struggle to escape or say anything. Instead she just stares at the other girl, her face calm and placid while her eyes shimmer with hatred and rage.

Mitsuru herself is completely calm- or, at least her face is. Her own eyes are also full of rage, but more comparable to an older sibling defending their younger one from a bully, or a mother protecting her child.

[SOLDIER First]

"I-it's true, and y-you know it.."
((There goes Ghisliver ;u;))

[USEC_OFFICER]

Eventually Ghislaine asks, "Well?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Enough. Both of you." Mitsuru glares at both of them. "I won't have you fighting each other over something pointless. You're all going to be stuck here with each other for four years, at least have the decency to pretend you get along."

[SOLDIER First]

Oliver nods.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Hmm... No. I'd rather not. It should be clear to all of you that I despise every second I spend in your presence, and ignoring that seems like folly to me."

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Allow me to explain this in a manner easier for you to understand. Would you rather constantly look behind your back because the entire population considers itself your enemy and will act thusly, or would you rather have some sense of security knowing that everyone else is willing to leave you alone if you are?"

[USEC_OFFICER]

Ghislaine smirks, "Oh, you don't understand. Where's the fun if everybody leaves me alone? This place is boring enough as it is, how else am I supposed to keep myself amused without the added edge of danger?"

[SOLDIER First]

"W-where's the sense of companionship..?"

[IamanElfCollaborator]

"Then I riddle you this. If it was indeed in your best interest to try and cause pain, then why risk brutal retaliation? Someone was paranoid to pass around salt once to stop you and we managed to take it all away. At least being prudent and saving such violence for when it is appropriate will prevent undue harm coming upon you and satisfy your bloodlust."

Matthew watches the conflict with mild interest.

Someone was paranoid to pass around salt once to stop you and we managed to take it all away. At least being prudent and saving such violence for when it is appropriate will prevent undue harm coming upon you and satisfy your bloodlust."

"I'm sorry, but I don't see how that is a problem. I haven't been blindly assaulting everyone I see after all. In fact, I've been rather restrained in my brutality, only attacking those who insult me or fight back," she says rather pompously.

"W-where's the sense of companionship..?"

"Companionship? With you mortals? I shudder at the thought."
