I couldn't hear you over the sound of three more lumps of sand whizzing into Ghislaine's face.

To prove that Mitsuru could care less, three ribbons whip out and catch the lumps in mid air, hurling them down.

[SOLDIER First]

The sand forms into one lump and floats back into the air, almost questioningly.

"I dislike your attitude and I dislike the way you have treated my friends, Ghislaine. I, however, am willing to put that aside if you are.

And Oliver, as much as I dislike saying this, now is not the time."

[SOLDIER First]

The sand falls back to the beach and Oliver turns back to his rock.

Ghislaine smiles with just the right hint of menace to make Mitsuru question her words. And then it softens into something more friendly. "Don't worry, it's instinctual. How about this, we both keep each other in the loop about anything suspicious we find or hear about. It saves us work and pools our efforts together, yet we can continue to despise each other until we actually find something. And then perhaps we can finally be 'friends'. Or at least allies."

Mitsuru doesn't even flinch from the menacing tone. "Indeed."

Truth is like crack. It's always cut down with the dealer's bullshit, it's never pure and to seek it pure is dangerous. Addiction to anything, even and especially truth is something to avoid. I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth, but I don't think anyone else will know either, not even the guys running this joint. So, let us try and find what we can, but not get into too much trouble or waste too much time.

And the sarcastic little jazz hands she does to demonstate how little movement she has in them. "I shouldn't have to tell you what a stupid idea that'd be."
