Ghislaine checks her ID to see why it's beeping, and is mildly surprised to notice that it has a messaging function. She looks around to see if anyone is watching her, and then takes a few steps back for a little more privacy as she fiddles with the ID, to see how the messaging function works and if any other undocumented features exist. Eventually she gets a bit annoyed at the device, and puts it back in her pocket with an annoyed grunt.

All without messaging John back. This should surprise no one.

The boy would notice if he was paying attention to anything other than a large rock on the beach. He is concentrating worryingly hard on it.

"Are you new here?"

Come to think of it, why are there only four classes? Don't most places offer, you know, more subjects? I mean, I though I guess it could kinda be like how a university works...

Fair enough, a bit surprised it's language that's compulsory and not maths though.

I've been wondering that myself. Shouldn't a high school have more classes? And I agree with you. Mathematics should be compulsory.

The boy jumps, almost falling off of the log.

"Hello.. um, y-yes, I am."

"Oh, sorry. Did I scare you?" Mitsuru gives him a slight smile. She extends her hand.
"Mitsuru Tomoe. A pleasure to make your acquaintance."

[SOLDIER First]

The boy flushes and nods slightly, grasping her hand.
"O-oliver Fentz.. and you too.."

Maybe they're trying to act like a uni? But yeah, it's a bit weird how you could just choose whatever the fuck you want even if it has no uni course or job related to it and they'll let you. But none of this shit counts yet so I guess they might wait till or final year or something, or maybe just leave it in our hands. I'm surprised they could blow so much money, I mean, they've got a teacher for every damn thing no matter how small the classes are. Plus they've be flying us and our teachers all the way back home for vacations and then flying us all the way back here.

She shakes it firmly. "If you're confused about anything, feel free to ask me for help."

Indeed. Perhaps the school is attempting to limit our workload and allow us to focus on the subjects we excel at.

Oliver nods.
"There is o-one thing.. how do I g-get a girlfriend..?"

Or, because they don't give that many fucks. If they only earn 39% of their dough from the education biz, then they're doing something with us that's worth a hell of a lot more. My bet is research, probably getting data and shit on us and our magic stuff somehow.

This may all be paranoid bullshit, but seeing as the english teach left me unattended in the room, I'd think there's something else tracking and watching our asses. Maybe even these IDs. I mean, they're needed to message and access shit so it'd seem the best thing to bug. Not sure what they'd be trying to find out though...
