As it turns out, despite his manner of speech and overall psychological resemblance to a medical irrigation tool, Louis is not a trouble maker. Though, that is of course not to say he was a very good student either. In fact, he definitely wasn't a good student, that in itself was quite apparent. Thus, whilst a minor act of corporal punishment was not required, his contributions and performance certainly did leave a lot to be desired to say the least.

Mitsuru does do her best to help Louis out while doing her own work and does fairly well.

Well... it isn't so much a hopeless cause as much as the graph of time spent tutoring him against his actual performance seems to have 'actually competent' as an asymptote. "Ah, I'll pull through, get along with your own work, I'd rather not drag anyone else down."

"Why? This crap doesn't even count for a damn thing, hell I'm only working hard now 'cause I don't wanna waste your time."

"Heh, never said it wasn't."

"Fine, fine... I'll try, but only because I'd feel like shit if I didn't."

Amy turns back to her work

"Could do this bit blindfolded"

Grinning mischievously, Louis turns to face his tutor "Well then, feel like doing the honors then, Mitsuru?"

Mitsuru looks at him, as if attempting to determine if he's lying or not.
"I'd rather not see any of my companions fail. Thank you for at least trying."
"Doing what honors?"

"A blindfold, might as well see if it's true. Oh and Amy, no magic, let's keep this fair, eh?"

"Okay maybe not blindfolded, you need to be able to see while writing, but this is really easy for me"

"I probably could. Granted, it still won't be that good, but I would be able to."
