"Ah, so that's it. I just figured you heard me introducing myself to Ryuka, looked at my initials and put the two together."
"If it comes in many forms, then why should the strongest be the guy who wins in a fight? Wouldn't they be the guy who makes sure the fight where their ass gets floored never happens? Or gains something from getting kicked into the curb?"

Examining up and down the demon, Louis pauses for a moment.
"And while I'm at it, what's with the cuffs? Got into shit with the cops or went to one of 'em S&M joints?"
"Just because you can floor one hundred other guys doesn't mean you have to. Because then you're flooring a buncha guys for no reason and wasting your time. The strongest ain't the guy who wins all their fights, they're just the guy who wins in the end, they could have lost every fight they tried, but if they win in the big picture, I'd think they'd be the one out on top."

"Fencing is boring. What's the point of fighting if the strongest isn't the one to win? That's how life should be. The strong above the weak so they can better defend them."

"Agreed, even assuming a fight is happening, speed skill wits etc all influence the outcome, whihc is why fencing is good it forces you to get skilled"

"Yeah, but you don't need to win a fight. You just need to win. You could just watch all the other bastards run around shivving each other, grab their stuff as they fall and sell it for a profit. Who's the guy who wins? The guy who shivved five guys and bled out? Or the guy who shivved no-one and got rich?"

"It's his number, apparently. I honestly could care less either way. And like I said and he has clearly demonstrated, his mind is too simple to ponder these complex questions. Let him be."

Ghislaine leans back, shifting in her seat to get more comfortable. And to rest her manacles on the tabletop for Louis to inspect more closely. "The cuffs are here for a very important reason. So that I don't rip your head off and shove it down your gullet. And thus annoy my parents by causing a scene. More or less. Thus they seal in my powers so that I can't cause trouble. And chaff terribly too, but there's nothing I can do about that."
