Had a weregecko. It spent like 12 attacks trying to gum someone to death with its toothless mouth, then kicked in their skull.

I had a human weregecko attack my fort. He was cursed by the deity of my mayor, a military veteran when he came to the fortress who had three humans kills to his name.

Well, there were the various Were's that wandered off or transformed into a kobold thief, who got mauled by a dog.   The most recent has been a WEREZEBRA!   It was scary, it kileld a baby alpaca, then 10+ recruit wrestlers descended on it and murdered it.   Well, one wrestler murdered it, and then it's body was dumped near the main stairs.   Almost all my dwarves are novice in discipline from being horrified by the corpse.  Win.

I carved fortifications viewing the body so that my military dwarves train Discipline faster.   Now that the Keep is largely finished, there's not a lot of traffic around the body, so less of my civvies are getting that proper experience.   Maybe a statue garden nearby is on hand?

Lol, watch someone come forth soon now that you've shown that and the great Armok sends a were-swan after someone who has truly displeased him.

Swans and geese ain't nothing to fuck with.   I sprained my ankle running from a very angry gander who did not like me getting near his goose.   They are mean little bastards.   I wouldn't want to tangle with a mansized one.

I think I had a were-giraffe once, then a while later I had a lot of were-giraffes.

I had a were gila monster the other day.

I had one of those show up just after the second dwarf caravan arrived.  It managed to kill one guard, bite most of the others, and injected the caravan yaks with venom before it was incapacitated by the remaining guards and my two marksdwarves.  Then it turned into human and got curb stomped.  Luckily I had already done my trading, and none of the guards turned monstrous while on the map.  One yak lagged behind for over a month - the venom made it alternate between drowsy or unconscious so it would sleep for a day or two after every few steps towards the edge of the map.  I was fully expecting it to turn but I guess it just got envenomed, not bitten.

The venom is the carrier of the syndrome, but it happens that animals can't become werebeasts. Only the standard races and underground animal people. (Not aboveground animal people for some reason.)

I had a weremonkey that almost brought my fortress to it's knees in it's early years. After a while it turned back in to a fishman and my conscripts killed him easily.

One very, very short-lived attempt at a fort made the assumption that a were-opossum can't possibly be all that dangerous.........

Were-Emu.

I was unsure whether to be amused or terrified.

I had a look through the raws, and weregila monsters all have a randomly generated poison, like what you might get from a demon or FB.

I just had me a werechameleon. It wasn't all that scary but made it past many of my traps and deep into my 20 some odd deep fortress before someone finally stopped him.

You'd think it would have legendary ambusher for its stealth and blending in.
Apparently ambusher is not a real word.

I just had a terrifying man-beast show up:

a wereCAVY

dun-dun-DUN!

Seriously, it's a were-guinea pig. This is why I fear the night?
Quote
A large cavy twisted into humanoid form. It is crazed for blood and flesh. Its eye glow spring green. Its black hair is very curly. Now you know why you fear the night.

It is scrawny.

What? I must fear stepping on it when I get up to take a leak during the night. Even the eye color fails to terrify. Spring green? Has it got bars of Irish Spring for eyes? The very curly black hair doesn't exactly inspire fear, either. And then the coup de grāce: It is scrawny.

I feel like I'm in the middle of a Monty Python sketch.

Of course, after I'd said all that, it's probably going to kill every dwarf in my fort. While no doubt making its adorable call.
