I'm really worried that these guys are now working on a necromunda game. I really hope they can pull their shit together and make something more akin to the boardgame and not the unfun system they used in mordheim. A necromunda turn based squad management tactical RPG is one thing I really want to be awesome.

The question is whether they think they need to reinvent the wheel. No one asked for the systems we got in Mordheim, they thought it was called for. Hopefully they learned their lesson and just stick to the basic source material and mechanics.

Because honestly, all the expanded stat line did was dilute what guys were actually about and they ended up very samey because players go with what works, and their rewritten skill list had to be the most boring and tepid thing I've ever seen in an official GWS title.

I mean, I'm ok with them adding things to it (adding, not changing), specially since the necromunda books haven't been updated in nearly two decades, but I really just mean adding new content, stuff like more gangs, weapons, etc. I'd very much like for them to not touch the way the actual game works anymore than they need to add said new content.

Here's hoping they'll realize almost nobody cares about mordheim as it currently stands, and so take a more faithful approach with necromunda.

I care, it's just beyond fixing at this point.

Alot of the skills, active/passive were just completely worthless in Mordheim. In the tabletop most things you've gained even if semi-randomly was at least USEFUL in some measure.

Yeah, and that's what continues to boggle me. They had all these great examples of skills that made sense for the table top game...but instead of adapting ANY of them, we got very generic +5%/+10% blah blah blah blah. Or active skills where the trade offs were so massive there was little point to using them vs. a normal attack.

This is blatantly false.  The AI always has the exact same number of units you do, and even the exact same ratio of leaders/heroes/henchmen/impressives.

Let me rephrase - the AI has more points total for his team. This means better equipment and skills etc per dude, 10% bonus to HP on top of that and other buffs. It was far more blatant before, but as far as I know, it was still the basic modus operandi after release. I don't know if this has been changed after DLC, since I haven't played the game since release.

I can generally forgive that, since Civilizations had the same sort of thing.  Also, the bonus is now only 5%, with the AI also not knowing how to build warbands as good as the player.
