Well, I did.
Kind of reminds me of the tiny one-bed sized rooms in DF.

Each of those houses holds 1 family. A large 4x4 tile house holds 3 families. So in the same space using 2 roads you could in theory fit in 8 families.

Also it breaks up the visuals and is something a bit different, so I am doing 2x2 and 3x3 'blocks' in some places just to have a visual break from most of the large 4x4 buildings.

Apparently, digging up ore turns it into fertile land or was it fertile land already under all that ore?

I'm considering buying this now... Or should I just wait for a sale?

So I went on the deep end and bought this.  I like it.  My main gameplay problem is putting out fires.  Fire stations apparently don't work very well in a 1-way town, since they seem to send 2-3 trucks per fire... and block traffic.
Actually... there is Automatic Bulldozing abandoned/burned out plots... Less bothersome/useless micro for the win.  Also less fire stations... cause I care even less. >.>

I'm still hovering around the 5k population milestone.

EDIT: Hmm... I think I'd prefer a mod that only bulldozed the burned out plots.  The abandoned ones already fix themselves eventually.  Plus at least I can check what the problem is when I feel like it.

That seems like a pretty useful mod because bulldozing them manually is a pain in the ass. Yes you can just wait and eventually they will repopulate but it takes forever and if you bulldoze it, so long as there is still demand it will rebuild immediately.

The hearse comes before the person dies? That's some shoddy programming.

hardly...seems to make sense really...it just means you wont find corpses laying around. In a normal city of thousands of people are you going to notice a citizen transition from sitting in the park to dying to going to the cemetery? most likely not. Lack of attention to a very tiny detail and little else.

That said such details are nice...I would love to see a citizen fall over and an ambulance show up and then hearses arriving at the local morgue to pick them up rather than just scooping them up from a random location.

The weirdest thing I found about that was that all the service vehicles are obviously google-cars, and everything ran without workers.

Well, when I last glanced into the modding forum over on Paradox, one of the forum members is already trying to design and code a politics mod so the mayor can declare themselves an independent city-state with, and I quote, "all the craziness that follows from there," so it may only be a matter of time. ^_^
